Broadway Club

sorry this is like a month later, but just wanted to say that when I was in NYC I saw Wicked and loved it! I def. wanna see it again! :)

Yay!!

I know, isn't it? What was your favorite part or song? Who were Elphaba and G(a)linda?

mhm and my favorite song was, For Good, and I would tell you who Elphaba and G(a)linda were but I kinda have the program in a frame with all the other stuff from NYC :) lol Whoever it was they were awesome.

Just don't listen to it after losing like, a friend or someone special. You WILL cry for hours on end! lol

huzzah, touring cast of evita coming to dublin in october I think

and, we have tickets. Evita is my mom's favorite show I believe- it was the first dvd we got:lmao:

Oooh and here's the awesome news, Im going to new york in easter for 5 days or so. So Im deciding what I need to get tickets for. Too bad my family arent bothered to go with me to most of them ;)

also, my dvd of Into the Woods' original cast came this week.
I LOVE into the woods soooooooo much. However the original cast was so good I dont think any other could match it.

I saw RENT in theathers. It was so amazing! Certain parts of it were taken out, of course. They made Mimi's fake "death" so dramatic, though! I wish Adam was out on stage at the end though.. :/

I saw it also, and I didn't notice any parts missing. What did you notice was missing?

Each Mimi can have her own interpretation of the death, and I guess Renee wanted to make it super dramatic... I didn't like it though.

I was bawling through the entire thing. XD

Oh, and BTW:

[title of show] is closing October 12th. I seriously lost hope in Broadway when I heard that.

Xanadu is closing the 12th also, and Legally Blonde is closing sometime in October. I can't remember the exact date. :p

 It'd only been on Broadway for like 2 months or so!
I can't wait to see Lion King soon.

Well, not like any big MAJOR parts anyway..but the guy that played Mark didn't do that hand thing in La Vie Boheme. xD But I do suppose that's what Anthony does. :p My mom and I didn't really like Mimi's death, either. She like coughs..then rolls over. Then keeps on coughing, and then just lies there. :confused3 I thought that they did Angel's death really well, though. Of course I knew they couldn't do Santa Fe in a subway car, considering the props that they had and there's no way you could have done that in a play. My parents thought that the tickets were pretty expensive. I was sort of upset that Adam wasn't there at the end when Anthony came out. My dad said that he saw Rosario, but I couldn't find her. I don't think Idina was there, either. I didn't think that the Roger-I forgot what his name was..-wasn't a very good Roger. I mean, he was good, but I don't think Roger had tattoos..

And why are tons of broadway shows closing all of a sudden?

Did you guys hear there is going to be a Shrek the Musical and i heard somewhere there will be like an Adams Family musical but that one was only a rumor but im sure about the Shrek Musical.

Ew, I would never see that :/
Bring back RENT, why would anyone ever see Shrek over RENT?!
-sigh-

I am Listening to Spring Awakenings.

I just got back from seeing it a second time, lol...

I was a little bummed about the 'going against the grain' move too. :p And I wish Adam would have been there too. Rosario and Idina weren't there either.

You didn't like Will Chase, who played Roger? I thought he was awesome! I was sort of on the fence during the first act, but his One Song Glory blew me away. It was so amazing, I'm tearing up just thinking about it... And his voice is unbelievable. He's definitely one of my favorite Rogers, next to Adam, of course. :)

I can't wait for the DVD! :D

Same here! I saw it for the first time today with my two friends. It was INCREDIBLE. I saw it a week before it closed on Broadway, but this gave the show a whole new feel for me. I noticed things that I've never noticed before. My favorite actors were Will Chase, Tracie Thoms, Michael McElroy (Collins) and Eden Espinosa. Eden and Tracie in TMOLM was amazing. My friend didn't like Eden in the first act, but after take me or leave me she was like, "oh. my. god." I was sad that Adam, Idina, and Taye weren't at the final show, therefore weren't in the movie. I missed them! But wow, it was just a really great performance.
Also, I saw [title of show] last Sunday. I absolutely loved it! And I'm devastated that it's closing so soon! And Legally Blonde's closing soon too, and Xanadu is closing today...my goodness.
