I have reservations at Wl.Now my husband says he would rather stay at Boardwalk. There will be a total of 4 girls age 13 and 14. Tell me whats the difference in these 2 resorts. What about the room size. Also we picked the Wl so we could try and get bunk beds. What kind oof bedding does boardwalk have. What about the activities. The kids love to go camping so I thought they would like the woods and all. Please anyone who has been to these resorts tell me what you think.

Honestly with kids that age I would stick with the Boardwalk. There are things to do on the boardwalk at night, you're closer to Epcot and MGM whose thrill rides are probably going to be a bigger draw with kids that age than the MK and they'll probably enjoy the pool and slide more than the one at WL.The rooms are going to be a little bigger too and that's never a bad thing with teens. LOL

We've stayed at both and would definitley pick BWI with that age group. Where they will probably stay awake longer than little ones there is much more offered in this area. I loved the BWI pool too but I know some people are freaked out by the clown slide. We are choosing to return to WL for our September trip just because we miss it but we went back and forth between BWI and WL. Both are great resorts but BWI has the Boardwalk, tons of food choices and I just love the rooms here. They seemed larger than the WL rooms to me and they are bright and airy. Most are doubles with a daybed but when we went with our whole family we had them take the daybed out and bring in a full sized cot. Worked out better for our family. I think the charge was 15$ per day but it was extremely comfortable and worth it.

If your kids are more interested in camping and MK than Epcot and MGM though you'd be better off at WL. It seemed to me they had more childrens activities than BWI too. Also you can spend time checking out FW quite easily by boat from the WL. There is also a walking path from WL to FW but i've yet to try it.

Boardwalk, Boardwalk, Boardwalk!

The rooms are bigger (especially waterview/deluxes), theres an awesome pool with a 200 ft waterslide, boardwalk entertainment, dining options, proximity to epcot and mgm...

We got to stay at WL, and even though we adore the theming, we felt a little bit away from the rest of the world. To me, WL is perfect for relaxing, hanging around the resort, and sea racers! I enjoyed the boat ride over to MK, but the bus ride to Epcot (going through Fort Wilderness) was a pain!

We can't wait to go back to the Boardwalk! My favorite resort. :)

Yes, they have balconies (some are very small others very large!) They have 2 quiet pools and 1 main themed pool.

I just stayed there for the first time this past weekend and LOVED it. The resort is beautiful. Mornings are so peaceful.....go get your coffee at the bakery and sit and enjoy on one of MANY benches. Location is key! Epcot is right there(International gateway) and there is a nice pathway that goes behind the resort, along the water way, right to MGM...about a 15 minute walk. There is also a "freindship" boat that goes to MGM if you prefer not to walk.

13 and 14 year olds will LOVE it.....and I would think they would be more "into" the theme parks in that area as well.

Enjoy and know that either resort is a great choice!

From what I understand the Boardwalk is a true "deluxe" resort - where WL is considered a "deluxe-lite" There is usually a price difference ($90/nt) Of course this can vary depending on codes, etc. I have also read that BW rooms have about 50 extra sq. ft.

I have never stayed at WL (the theme doesn't appeal to me) but I LOVE the Boardwalk. We are at the point where we will stay ANYWHERE around crescent lake - we LOVE the location & all the resorts have their own charm :)

DS13 & I will be staying 8nights at VWL & 6nights at BCV in August

Now that I've been looking at the 2 resorts looks like broadwalk would have more for the girls to do.Does anybody know about the pools depth? One of the girls I'm taking is my niece and shes never been out of town before so we are paying for her trip want to make sure she has a great time she loves to swim. She loves to camp so that why I picked Wl to begin with.

are you looking at the BWV or BWI? cos BWI rooms (& BWV studios) won't fit your entire party in 1 room. (you might also want to look into renting points at BWV to save $'s ~ you can PM me if you've got ?'s about renting)

the girls ~ & your DH & you ~ will have an awesome time at the BW!!
