has anyone upgraded what do you get for your money and whas it money well spent :cool1: :earboy2: princess: :flower1:

We upgraded to Britannia Premium a good few years ago and felt it was worthwhile although not amazingly better than the 'normal' Britannia seats/service. I like the free drinks (and I don't just mean alcoholic!) and I think we had extra baggage allowance although I'm not sure that's still the case. The seats are a bit bigger, but not huge.

Since then we've flown with Britannia again and just paid for extra legroom seats
without the upgraded meals, drinks, etc which DDs and I didn't really need (there were no upgraded veggie meals  ).

We've booked Premium again for our trip in July, so we're looking forward to trying it again (must check about the baggage allowance ;) ).

We have done it a few times and we have done it with most charters. We have found them all to be better than the normal seats.
You may only get another 5/6inches of leg room but in this event size definitely matters and it is generally worthwhile.
I always find the free drinks to be a bit of a waste of time when you are collecting a car at the other end.

We traveled with britannia april 2005. It was our first longhual flight and i wasn't impressed. If i had known at the time the huge diference in charter and scedule flights i would have gone with virgin atlantic. I found the plane way to small for resonable comfort the stewardes,s wern't that friendly and on the overnight flight on return they were even worse. I mentioned to my husband when we were flying that i was glad we hadn't waisted £150 on premium seats as they didn't look that much bigger than the seats we were in. I know that with premium you had the advantage of complimentry drinks, but virgin do that any way with Economy seats. We are flying with virgin april 2006, i know virgin flights are more expensive but i would rather half a little more comfort.
