Brittania Country House Hotel

Hello. I've booked the Brittania Country house hotel in Manchester for the night before we travel to Florida in February. Since booking I've read some terrible reviews about it. (It was booked for me via the travel agent).
Has anyone stayed there? Should I cancel and try booking somewhere else or should I hope for the best and leave things as they are? We need a family room so not sure what is available anywhere else.

I don't know anything good about the Britannia hotel range but have not used the Manchester one. have had to stay with work in the Liverpool one a few times - need to keep your sense of humour!

For one night it can't be too bad surely......

We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was fine nice room comfy only thing was someone was smoking in a no smoking room and set the fire alarm off. we were evacuated at 10.30 at night DH was in the shower at the time!!!
You should be fine staying there.

We've stayed there several times and not had any problems regarding the rooms

Only thing I might suggest would be considering a taxi to the airport as, each time we went, there was a mad scramble to get to the airport in time
