i was playing around in alamo again - always looking for a better rate - when i noticed the pound is getting stronger...or perhaps the dollar weaker...

either way, the rate is 1.30
when did that happen? (last i looked it was around 1.20 or so)..

It's been heading up since the announcement of the Election.

I'm going to keep a close eye on the rate during Election Night. The stability of the country could help increase the rate :)

It is positive that it's going up might get a few dollar when I get paid on Monday and tuck them away as I totally got burn't by the Ref last year.

With the awful rate I got on my last trip as long as it stays about 1.25 personally for me I think that's a win. Although I do remember going when it was about $2 to the pound.

Also if the pound can stay strong might start to have a knock on to next year's prices as I know they are currently a lot higher than they have been.

we have to pay the balance of our disney UK package soon...
since we don't live in the UK, when we reserved the package a year ago, we bought the number of pounds that we needed to cover the cost...

we bought before brexit, so had we waited we would have saved money...but at the time, we didn't know that brexit would pass and the pound would fall.....
however, the pound is now higher than when we bought....so in that we've protected ourselves...
we just didn't want to speculate on the exchange rate..
so i never look at the rate, since we're already locked into the rate from a year ago...
