Not sure how to put this without being indelicate...

What is it with the young guys from GB wearing flimsy white shorts that turn see though in the rain? Last week, with the afternoon rain showers it was um... obvious in many cases they were not wearing undies.

Just kinda took us by surprise.

Great Britain, that would have been a sight to see:scared1:

I don't know, but years ago at a Disnye resort pool, Dsis and I got an eyeful from a heavy-set man in a peach see-thru Speedo. He had much hair on his backside, and it kind of crept up thru the top of the back of his Speedo, like a fat, black caterpillar. We left the pool area before we had a chance to see the front view.

Tee hee, I think that's funny - I wonder if they realised :confused3
It's not a British phenomenom that I know of.

I am thinking they might have been wearing our national replica football (soccer) kit as we (England and Scotland) had two big international games last week, wasn't Wednesday by any chance, was it?
The shorts look like this and are made of a thin silky nylon.

those are the ones, and it was not just wed. it was something we noticed everyday, from after the first rain shower.

Well, I'd much rather see some young British guys in see-through white shorts than what I saw at the POFQ pool last year. A rather large woman, wearing a bathing suit was climbing up the ladder out of the pool. Unfortunately, she had made absolutely no effort to shave her bikini line. And what a bikini area it was!!!!

Needless to say, my DBIL and I needed a good poolside margarita after that! (We were the only two who saw, thank goodness!)

There are lots of sights at WDW, I am surprised at the ones you choose to look at?
:lmao: :lmao:

true, but it was one of those things that once ya notice it, was difficult to ingore, like a popcorn kernal in your teeth... but not a popcorn kernal, and not in your teeth, so to speak.

I just hope they were some of our best looking boys :thumbsup2 and not the over-the-hill, over-fed, under exercised types - we've all got 'em!

With the screen name Wildeoscar, surely you appreciate the sight of a brazen, ill clad youth?

Kind of gives a whole new meaning to the phrase...
"Have A Magical Day!" :rolleyes1

Just another observation...how did you know they where British? (Obv other than the ones with the England shorts on) Other than talking and listening to their accents, I couldn't tell different people from different countries?

Not meaning to cause trouble...but just asking...

It's difficult to describe how you can tell, but in Europe (most of the time) you just can. Obviously we have many languages in Europe which helps!
It's a sweeping generalisation from me but most WDW visitors are domestic citizens, then in second place I would guess us Brits (?), after that I do not know - I would guess most other central European countries are probably equal (France, Spain & Germany).
Whereas when we go on beach vacation to (warmer) European countries we meet many people from many other European countries, usually Germany, France, Spain, Holland, Sweden and Italy. From peoples eating preferences and how they act, dress etc you can usually tell where they come from and obviously once you hear them talk, then you can tell!
Usually only if we visit European capital cities to we meet US citizens.

I have traveled fairly extensively... and while there is not one glaring thing that would make you think British with out hearing the accent... there are a lot of little things. Mannerisms, demeanor, the style shoes, the soccer jerseys, pasty white skin... not trying to stereo type, but the folks that have zero tan tend to be Brits.
