I have looked EVERYWHERE!!!! I'm north of Boston, anybody out there know where I can find these bottles and do they have a strap or some way to carry them?

Although I've never been to Boston, have you looked at the Walmarts/Kmarts or supermarkets? I'm in Jersey and I've seen them in our local drugstores (CVS/Duane Reade) and the supermarkets (A&P, Shoprite, Pathmark, Stop & Shop). Although I've never seen them in Target though. They are either by the brita pitchers or by the camping goods/fishing/travel section.

I've also seen them offered on Ebay in case you're intersted.

And there is no strap. It's just a bottle, but if you do a search for brita bottles (I put up a question a couple of months ago about them), there have been some creative ways on how to keep hold of the bottle.

Personaly i think they are a little bulky, especially with the squeeze factor but I'll probably buy one in the end to save money. Good luck on your search.

airhead--I'm south of Boston :) , and I have seen them at WalMart (in the hardware section of all places) Super Stop and Shop, and Target.

Here is a link to a page on the Brita site that shows where you can buy them online.

This is a great idea! I am going to get one of these for me and my DD to share. You can get one on e-bay for $8 Buy it Now with free shipping. I'll check local Wal-Mart first though.

It's easy as can be to carry these; any ribbon or string will do. All you need to do is measure out about 6 ft. of it, tie a knot so that it's a loop, then use it to loop a slipknot around the "dent" in the bottle. You can wear this across your chest w/ the bottle at your hip.

If you prefer the belt loop method, buy a pack of very large plumbers O-rings from the hardware store and back-loop two of them together. Put one O-ring around the bottle dent, and put a carabiner clip through the other O-ring to hook on your beltloop.

The original creators of the water bottle filter are a company called Innova. They were even suing Brita for using their filter design.

Anyways, not only do they have smaller 16 oz bottles, you can buy two filters for $6.99 that fit on most water/soda bottles.

I wish I had found this before I bought my bulky Britas. I do have one of the smaller Rubbermaid ones that have been discontinued and a handy dandy belt clip for it.

Hope this helps.

I'm in Southern NH and I remember finding mine at a Bed, Bath and Beyond store somewhere in New England. I know that sounds funny but I'm all over the place from Burlington, VT to Boston and when I bought the bottles last year, we did not have a Bed, Bath store near us.
