A while back there was a thread regarding the Brita Fill-n-go water bottles and filters being on sale at K-marts, Wal-marts etc.
However, with the low prices, many people on the Dis were not able to find them at the discounted prices.

Just thought I would let you know that my DM found some of the filters in a K-mart in Lancaster PA this past week. The filters were marked 60 cents and then rang up for 30 cents. This is the same store she checked during the summer when the original thread started here, and they did not have any at that time.

So if you use these filters, don't give up hope in finding a bargin. It seems that the stores could still be getting them in and selling them on clearance (not sure why, but hey, for a bargain, that doesn't matter;) )

Hope this helps some of you.

Happy Bargain Hunting.

I was so thrilled to read about these earlier and was one of the lucky ones that found them and stocked up. My husband and children really like to drink water and I thought these would be perfect for Disney. We could start out the day with ice and add water and ice as needed.

Well, we went to Disney a couple of weeks ago and they weren't as perfect as planned. One of my sons really liked his. My husband and another son disliked them to the point of almost refusing to use them. They didn't like the way you had to apply pressure to get the water out instead of just sipping like a regular water bottle. My daughter wasn't with us on this trip, but she has never even opened hers and she's the biggest water drinker of all.

Sometimes you just can't win.

Our Kmart had the bottles and filters in the bottled water section. They both had a price sticker on the shelf of $6.89. I brought them to the scanner and they rang up for .80! I almost passed them by thinking I missed a great deal.

You can always filter the water into another bottle and only use one or two bottles for the family.

We loved ours. It takes a while to get used to squeezing the bottle, but we had no problems. Water tasted great! We filled ours with ice before leaving the resort and added water at the fountains throughout the day. One of the best buys I made for our trip, we will be taking one with us from now on.

Dizzknee,

The Brita filters fit in the specially designed Brita bottle tops. The water is filtered as you drink it.

This is not like the filters you would buy at a camping store where the filter would fit on a Nalgene type bottle.

My DH drinks water all the time, and the Brita saves lots of trips to the store while on vacation. At $2.50 for a bottle of water at the parks, for us, it was well worth the investment in the Britas.

I was curious as to what these were as well. I just checked out their website. I might have to check my local Walmart and see if I can find one. The water in WDW from the faucet is terrible and it can get very expensive buying cold bottled water and it would be better for me than Cokes.

We used 1 bottle for 4 of us this last May at Disney World.

We had a small backpack and a small stroller (my son was 4 years old at the time). We would bring a few plastic cups. I would fill up the bottle, then squirt it out into cups for everyone to drink.

If you have regular sports bottles that you like to use instead of the Brita bottle, just fill up the Brita bottle and squeeze the filtered water into the other bottle.

I was also able to get free ice a few times from vendors at Epcot and MGM to replenish my ice supply in the Brita bottle.

This year, we will probably bring mix for lemonade and iced tea.
