I had planned to use my Brita Fill 'n Go bottles on our next trip to help save money on the cosst of water. However, I can no longer seem to find the refill filters. I have looked at Kmart, Sears, and Walmart. I even looked at Brita's web site and they are out of stock there as well. Does anyone know where I can find these? Are they discontinued? Help please!

Yes they are discontinued. The only place I've seen them is on e-bay.

dl :sad2:

I have a feeling they are being discontinued. I have seen them recently at CVS in the MA area, though.

Good luck with your search!!! :teeth:

they still had some at my walmart last week...if you want, I can check to see if they are still there and pick them up for you. They were $4.00 per box with 2 filters in each box.

They have them at our Walmart too, if anyone else is looking I can grab some too. They were $3.50 a box. They also had a bunch of the bottles too, for $4.50

There are some ending on ebay today for $1. :earsgirl:

I actually found some yesterday at our local Super Walmart. They were also 2 for 3.50. I had also given up looking for any refills. You'll only find them when you're not specifically looking for them. That's how I found both the bottle and the filters. No kidding! :confused3

Keep looking and good luck! :wizard:

I had no idea these were being discontinued!

I bought two of these bottles and we used them on our last trip to Disney and they worked great! Typical that they discontinue soemthign that works so well! :confused3

I guess I better run to Walmart and see if I can find filters!

I bought the last two filter packs they had. I figure I am good now for a few more DIsney trips! :cool1:

They might be "hiding" from you at WalMart. I found them in the plumbing section, next to the water filters that you attach to faucets.

Somebody got a real deal on eBay this afternoon. (I hope it was somebody from this board.) It was an auction for one new bottle (which comes with one filter), plus 18 extra filters. The winning bid was $10.50. With $9.99 S/H, their total cost was $20.49. I saw it on the computer at the library, and intended to get home before it ended - but then I got distracted while running errands. It wasn't a total loss, 'cause I found the last of WalMart's Brita bottles, with an American flag design on the body for $4.50 each - plus two boxes with two filters each, for $3.50 a box. I wonder if Brita is discontinuing these because so many people are just buying bottled water? We used our Brita bottles the last time we went to WDW, and they not only made the water taste better, they kept it colder than most sports bottles.

wow. its sad that they are gonna stop making them. I loved our bottle while at the Disney. We found 2 pack filters for 60cents at our local kmart. We bought all 11 of them. Guess we got a deal. :bounce:

Thanks for the info on the filters. I made a trip to Wal Mart and picked up the last 8 packs on the shelf. I asked a Wal Mart employee about getting more, and she said they were being discontinued.
:goodvibes

I just got the last two bottles at our wal-mart, but they still had a bunch of filters for $3.50 a pack. I am going to try the wal-mart in the next town over tomorrow and see if I can find 2 more bottles.

I called the Brita company, and they told me that they are discontinuing the bottles, but not the filters, so they will still be available at least directly from them. However, if the stores like WalMart can't get the bottles anymore, they may also stop carrying the filters. That's sad, because they're the greatest.

I know I saw a web site that sold just filters (not Brita) that fit most sports bottles, but I can't find it at the moment, and I have to leave for an appointment. If I find it later, I'll post it here. I think I also found some other brand of bottles with filters by doing a search on google for "water bottle filters". Hope this helps somebody.

I'm back - haven't found the web site yet that has filters to fit most any sports bottles, but here's one that has an option for sports bottle and filters if you can't find Brita.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I double checked my walmart and I was not able to find any. I did find some on Brita's web site for $14 for 4!!!!!! :earseek: So I am watching ebay carefully. We use these bottles a lot and I really don't want to pay the $14 for them. It is so much more cost effective to use these than to buy bottled water. Thanks everyone. (oh and please don't bid against me on ebay. :rotfl2: )

If the filters are unopened, how long are they good for? Does anyone know...

My next trip isn't until 2008 (I'm planning to stay onsite for 2 weeks and want to save up some good $$$). I envy everyone who goes more often. One week just isn't long enough for me, and I don't want to pull DD out of school for 2 weeks at a time every year either. In 2003 was her first trip (she was 3) so this will be a good time for her as she will be able to ride more.

Anyway, have the bottles but would like to get more filters if I happen to find them on sale.

I checked my packages that I got and I do not see any expiration dates on them. They just say to be sure to run water through them before drinking. Perhaps this means they are good for up until 3 to 6 months after the first use? And it does not matter how long they sit on the shelf before that?

I've been lurking around for awhile and finally decided to post. I found some of the Brita Fill & Go bottles on ebay. The auctions were ending today, and the bids are about $2.00 right now. Pretty good deal!
