Brita Bottles were Fantastic!

Just got mine at WalMart. 6.97 each. Priced them on EBAY but, the shipping was too darn high.

beattyfamily, Yes, you will need to run a couple of bottles of water through the filter before using for the first time. Just fill it with water and squeeze it out to purge the charcoal filter.

We went on a Disney Cruise in January and they sold straps for the regular size water bottles and they are adjustable, I tried mine and they work on the Brita bottles too. I can't remember what I paid but it wasn't much. Just look for someone w/ a cart of water bottles on ice, they will have them. Hope you have a fun trip!

Great. Thanks so much for telling me this. I never noticed the straps on the cruise before. Guess I wasn't drinking water--just the drink of the day! lol

Thanks Taja! I went to Walgreens today with my Brita bottle in hand. The insulated holder in the middle of the ad fits the Brita bottle perfectly. $3.99 is a good deal IMO. I bought 3 of them. They had them in blue, red and yellow at our store.

THANK YOU! I've been searching the Internet and found a few but they were never just right and they were anywhere from $10 to $20.

Well, I just got back from Walgreens (after reading your post!) and they have at least 3 kinds to choose from. They had a tall thin one, and shorter, fatter one and both of those came with empty plastic bottles and had zippers for opening and closing and a strap. They both were on sale for $3.99.

Then there was one more in 3 colors that came with a Dannon Water Bottle. That one was $5.99. I liked this one better because it has a velcro strap for putting on a fanny pack or whatever, it has a clip to clip it on things, it has a strap for hanging over the shoulder or on a stroller, it has a little compartment in the front that zippers shut to put things in, but the best thing about it is that it does NOT close with a zipper, it has a draw string closure which means it can fit just about any size bottle and close nicely and securely.

They were all great prices. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the tip on finding Brita bottles at K-Mart -- I just found them on clearance with cheap filters too! Easier than eBay!

Well, I just thought I'd pass this info along just in case...

I just saw nice 32 oz bottle wraps at Stop and Shop in the Summer aisle. It was $5.99 on sale for $4.99 and comes with an empty bottle. It comes in a few colors. It's insulated and it has a velcro strap. It opens at the bottom with a zipper.

It does fit the Brita bottle but not perfectly. The top blue part of the bottle sticks out a bit but it does work if you need it for that bottle. I bought one because I also bought the filters from another website that can fit in 'most' regular water bottles. I'll use this bottle wrap for those kinds of bottles.

For those of you in suburban Philadelphia: Genuardi's has Brita bottles on clearance for $4.49 and mine had lots! I think the filters are $3.50.

I am an online shop-a-holic and I just purchased a couple bottles and a pack of filters from J and R Music World (www.jr.com) and they did not charge any shipping or tax. It came to $20 for 2 bottles and a 2 pack of filters.
