Glad you edited yourself. That was truly not allowed to be said here. I understand what getting angry here can be like but yikes! I'm sure that is the kind of thing that all those kids on fb were doing--speaking in anger, in the heat of the moment, without thinking. Just glad it was 12:33 and not many people are up tonight.

Let's just say that it's not the first time that Jambo82 insulted me on a thread and had one of his sock puppets banned. And I was right about this one too because he didn't get a change to edit the PMs he sent me which were both reported this morning.

What does Bristol's having a child before marriage and engaging in an inappropriate facebook rant have to do with her advancing on DWTS? If you want to be frustrated about her advancing, that's one thing. But to dig into her personal life and start criticizing because people are voting to keep her in is extremely childish.

There has been no digging involved. She puts it all out there for everyone to see.

Coming from someone who has never watched an episode of DWTS and a Canadian who is pretty far removed from politics in the US, I feel bad for the girl.

I'm young (20) and believe me I see these facebook "incidents" going on regularly with people on my friends list, the difference is no one screenshots it and gives it to the media because none of my friends are a Palin. I don't fault them for the things they said, and I'm willing to bet a ton of the people finding fault in them are the parents to teenagers doing/saying VERY similar things. Like I said, the difference is no one cares if you aren't in the public eye. Do I think it's right to use derogatory terms like that? No, but I know a ton of "good" and "educated" people my age do the exact same, I just think the girls are being torn apart unfairly. Unfortunately they will learn the hard way that they don't have the freedom to do things like that anymore because people will sell/do anything for a buck.

And before anyone looks at my post count and begins the troll posts, check my sign up date .

I don't hate Bristol or her mother. Just didn't think Bristol should have made it past week 4.

Maybe all you who think Bristol is such a nice kid missed her saying that winning would be like giving a big middle finger to all those people who hate her and hate her mother. I thought that was really classy!

Isn't it a great country when someone like Bristol can become a celebirty because she had a child out of wedlock. I think that is what bothers people, it's not hate to think that shouldn't be celebrated.

It is a great country, you have Bristol, oh and lets not forget the lady that hAD infertility treatments and then shoved her kids on TV so she could become a celeb. oh yeah what is her name KATE GOSSELIN.

At least Bristol isn't pushing her kid on TV.

And by the way, at least Bristol has a famous mother. Look at the Kennedy's. Jon was famous because of his family long before he did anything.

Exactly, and Bristol may have a mother that is vice or president,(ok, probably not) but way she is a political figure, which is more than I can say for some of the people on DWTS.

It seems to me that every year on Idol and all the shows it spawned, someone gets carried far into the show that should have been booted off early on. There is always a Sanjaya and the debate rages over why they are still there, this time it was Bristol Palin.
As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, political experts say the hatred for her revolves around the fact that she is running as a republican, and doesn't tow the line the womens groups expect her to. She is a threat to their power by taking opposing viewpoints and promoting them publicly. NOW and other groups promise to deliver hundreds of thousands of votes to politicians who agree to go their way. If Palin can get women to support her on some of those issues, and think outside the box she will chip away at the voting block women are supposed to be a part of, weakening the womens lobby. Or they just hate her, I don't know.

didnt anyone every do anything stupid or said something stupid when they were a young adult..just because her mom was running for office doesnt mean she cant make mistakes..

I actually saw Bristol's son on Sarah Palin's Alaska the other night.

I don't really get the issue of who think who is qualified to be a "star". We have people famus for the oddest things...running into the end zone with a funny shaped ball, hitting a ball with a stick, riding a bike, memorizing lines for a show, drawing pictures (some that look like a 3 yo could do it), posing for pictures and saying, "That's Hot", putting their kids' lives on TV, selling the audience on something from Ronco, running for office, being in office, having sex with someone other than their wife while in office, interviewing other "famous" people, cooking, etc, etc, etc.

Really, people get famous for all sorts of reasons. Some seem legit and some don't. But it seems to be all about "making hay while the sunshines" and getting your 15 mins of fame and trying to stretch it into 1 hour.
