Well, let me set your mind at ease for at least one person.

My dislike has nothing to do with her mother. Bristol has earned it all by herself. I actually used to feel sorry for her when her mom was on the campaign trail and thought that she was being used as a pawn for either side

However, no longer. She is showing her true colors. You don't use the vilest of language and threaten crude hand gestures, and then turn around and pretend you need conservative, buttoned up costumes and feign coy embarrassment at some of the more suggestive dance moves.

That is not only immature, but two-faced. And that often garners dislike for one's lack of character. It is way too easy to blame the dislike on her mother. Bristol has shown she is very capable of earning it all on her own.

between the Facebook rant and her behavior on DWTS, I think we have seen enough to base our feelings on her alone and not how we may feel about her mom!!!!! She has been showing her true colors lately, I don't think many are falling for the act any longer! She has put herself in the publi eye and has had enough exposure that is no longer about her mom.

I certainly am not jealous of a foul-mouthed, ill behaved teen. I would dislike any young person who has that kind of mouth and that kind of attitude on a national show. Nothing to do with jealousy over her or her mother.

AND I have absolutely nothing to feel threatened about by her mother.

Actually, when the family opens their collective mouths, I tend to feel MORE secure about myself and my family unit.

Although, I do have to give them credit. I thoroughly enjoy all the skits they inspire on shows like SNL.

Isn't it a great country when someone like Bristol can become a celebirty because she had a child out of wedlock. I think that is what bothers people, it's not hate to think that shouldn't be celebrated.

I can't tell you the number of threads I read on the DIS dealing with teen pregnancy. Heaven help us if the subjects of the threads were inner city girls. Many of the DISers who praise Bristol, blasted the others. They blamed the parents, the community, the girls...

I don't recall any of them having anything good to say about those girls.

I have nothing against unwed mothers, I was one myself. However, my views on teen pregnancy remains the same no matter who the person is.

It's a tv show. Is Bristol a fabulous dancer? No. Does she have ANY performing/dancing experience? No Did she improve during the show? Absolutely.

The winner was in a FAMOUS musical and is JOEL GREY'S daughter... shocker that she can dance The show ought to be called dancing with the dancers.

I don't want to get too off topic here but respond quickly to this. Bristol comes from a well to do family with support and money, lots of it. I can't speak about the other teen pregnancy threads you're referring to but in general, inner city girls have NO money and NO support so why on earth are they having babies? It doesn't make sense.

These situations are completely different and it may not be fair but that's life. Certain people can do things, others can't.

But in this case the tax payers will not pick up the tab. When inner city teens get pregnant the tax payers foot the bill for the birth and the next 18 years, stats show also prison and or another teen pregnancy. I don't know if you are a tax payer or not but I know what I pay a year, lots. And I resent paying taxes for this.

I didn't say I endorse the behavior but it's not the end of the world if teen girl who has money and a support system does it. See that has no impact on my life, it doesn't cost me anything. When a girl who is broke pops out a little one, or 2, or 3, that hurts my pocket book.

I am with several other posters on that I don't get the Bristol hate.

A pp said Kyle stayed upbeat and happy the entire time....well I don't think Kyle had people hating against him from the start simply because of who his mother was. Nor did Kyle have so much negativity spewed online about how far he was getting in the competition. It was alot easier for Kyle to be happy.

And as far as seeing her true colors...I am not sure I have ever seen where she pretended to be anything different from what we see. How has she pretending to be a prim and proper perfect girl???
