One time we left Florida to come back home to California...We left around 7:00. I think we landed around 12:00pm. Is that about the same time for you?

1/2 day of work then off to the airport. Tonight wine by the pool at HOJO's.

Last day of work! YIPPEE!

We don't leave until Friday but as long as I am NOT at work I figure I am on vacation. I will be drinking some vino tonight and pretending I am sitting by the pool!

Pretty much done packing. Just tying up loose ends. Did you all know you can hold your mail online. They give you a confirmation number and everything. Much better than going to the post office.

www.usps.com and go to hold mail. All of the instructions are there. Last trip I was able to print a hold mail document, but this is so much better!

Safe travels to everyone! Seems like we are missing more people each day Just wish I were one of them!

Off to work! Gotta pay for those excursions some how!

Hope everyone who is in the air or about to be has a safe and sane trip. No lost baggage or spouses.
We leave 11 AM tomorrow from Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton. And arrive California about 6:30 PM. Have to get a cab and then to HOJOs. So may see some of the fools by the pool tomorrow. If not at breakfast Friday or in the park. We'll both have our SHIP OF FOOLS lanyards on. And we'll be looking for others. See you all soon.

Just wanted to give you the information that the post office employee gave me. Last time we went on vacation we popped in the post office before we left for town to mail something. I had them check the hold I did on line and it wasn't there. The employee told me the on-line hold doesn't always work and to always fill out the yellow form. I don't know if it holds true or not, just wanted to pass it along. BTW, I did fill out the form this time, just because I don't want to chance 2 weeks of mail!

I'm happy to say I am 95% packed and since we live only an hour from the port, I feel I have plenty of time to finish up. So.......we are off to Disneyland/California Adventure for the day!!!

Oh my Gosh! why am I here when I have so much to do. Our flight leaves at 3:05pm tomorrow and we aren't even packed. Darn stuff is sitting all over the living room, suitcases are opened, just don't know why it doesn't jump in.

Now I off to clean 7 fish tanks and my house, hopefully my clothes will get packed.

I can't believe DCL just called me to tell me the Palo Brunch reservation I made on line at 90 days out for the Panama Canal day was overbooked and they were bumping us out to Aug. 26. The rep said I could try to book it again on board and was sorry for the inconvenience. I tell you, I am pretty upset because we were really looking forward to being in Palo while going through the canal. Suppose we had already left, we would not have know to try to rebook on board. Nothing like late notice.

You've had your string of bad luck. Sorry to hear about your Palo ressies. I hope things smooth over for you when you board the Magic! I can't beleive they overbooked! Maybe a frosty drink in your hand and some CA sun will make things better.

DCL called me earlier and cancelled my brunch on the 1st. No matter, if I can get one on another day after boarding, all will be good. If I can't, all will still be good.

Hey Nordkin, I read that you are flying out of Dulles. I was there when it was built, and it is still my airport of choice when I fly into NoVA.

I have been very late in planning and have no Palo dinner nor Brunch reservations. I wonder if we will get anything on board as so much is overbooked. On to that room with all the suitcases and clothes and lists and shoes and lotions and papers and .....well it scares me enough to be afraid, now really afraid, but I will get most of the packing out of the way tonight. Some of you guys are there....and soon we all will meet. My husband just said t take a deep breath and it will be done and we will be ready to get into the van to the airport. YEA!!!!
