Those of you that have pets, what will you do with them for 2 weeks? We have a 6 month old puppy and don't think any of our friends would want to watch her for that long :(

Deb

Hi,
As you can see we have one perpetually big puppy (Bailey ) and two cats. Last time we visitied Disneyland in March 2005 we hired a house sitter that came well recommended by my friend who knew her very well. It worked really well, Bailey was able to stay in the comfort of her own home. On our pervious family vacation in May of 2004 we took her to a kennel and I felt awful having to leave her in that environment. Not that it was a bad kennel or unclean but a cage and a run is not a back yard and a couch. Another reason I would hire a house sitter is so that I would not have to give Bailey her immunization shots which I don't agree with giving to dogs/cats on a yearly basis. So with a house sitter the kitties were well taken care of, and the house was lived in and looked after, and Bailey could sleep and play were she felt comfortable. No wild parties or damage from neither Bailey or the house sitter. She was really great. She even let Bailey sleep with her in the guest bedroom. In fact we are going to hire her again for the repo cruise. The cost of having a house sitter was as reasonable as putting Bailey into a kennel. $15.00 per day. So it made my vacation much more enjoyable knowing everyone was being taken care of.

Ok, these aren't the greatest copies (in some cases) and I'm missing two days, but here are the navigators from the Westbound cruise. Not sure if I linked this right, but we'll give it a try. You need to click on each picture to bring up a separate page. If you view original, it will be larger.

Thanks Tracy for those! Now I have had a CoP - I am noty got to download them or look at them, I want it to be a surprise! Something tells me I just don't want to know too much ahead of time.

Hope everyone is having a great morning. I need to get going and do the upstairs chores, go to the powst office, and the grocery store. DH is due home today, but I hjave no idea when, I think this evening.

I think even with looking at them things will not be the same. I highly doubt the entertainment will be the same across the board, and I don't even think some of the special talks will be the same. I just like looking at what was offered to get an idea of what things I'd be interested in. Gives me time to get impressions from other people, especially if it ends up 2 things I'm interested in are at the same time.

No way could I know that they were out there and not take a look. It's like the walls at Disneyland, they go up and everyone trys their best to look over them, or around them, or through them to see whats going on over there. You've got much more self control than I.

Room assignment will happen at any time ! I just got mine a week ago -- and I've been booked since last May :goodvibes Very happy with the location of my CAT 6

Now -- who can remember -- is it better to be on the Starboard or Port side during the crossing ?

Hi guys,

Just stopping by to say hello. I didn't realize there was a new thread. Hope everyone is doing great. I will have to go back and read the last 10 pages. It was so much fun watching the Magic in the canal. I saved many pictures just in case I don't get the same shots on my camera. Did you see the one with Mickey and Minnie. I love that one.

I see that room assignments are being talked about. We had room 7119 but gave it up and became a gty 9. Just waiting for room assignment. A fellow diser got our old room.

Made our Palo and excursion ressies on the 90 day mark. What a madhouse that was! My agent at DU, Kelsie, was there for me helping me out. Thanks so much for everything Kelsie!

Not sure in the canal, but if you want to be on the camera side during the locks, you need to be on the starboard side with us

Welcome Hbg4 we're glad you're here. :disrocks:

dairyou, we are really lucky. We have a middle aged Doberman and if the 4 of us go on vacation together she stays with our vet. He has a 5 acre farm and she gets to run and play with his two dogs, they've known each other since puppy days. As for our cats, three, we have a super next door neighbor who is always happy to check on them and feed them. She has also been guilty of taking one or two to her house to play with her kids and their two pugs. So in our house vacation means something special to the whole family.

DisneyElf, we are in cabin 7010 because my DH figured out which side would be shadier. And besides we just like that area of the ship.

While going thru Panama, they sold postcards and postage at Guest Services. It was $1.00 per card with postage to the U.S., international postage was a little bit more. (Cash required.)

Here's a little suggestion. Some of us bought extras and gave them to our servers, room stewards. They were very appreciative. The cards had to be dropped off by 2:30pm that day in order to have the Panama postmark. :flower:
