Bringing the Honeymoon to WDW attention

I'm booking ADRs and package online, should I just call and ask them to add a note that we'll be honeymooning? We'll get buttons and probably mouse ears, but I would like WDW to know in advance in case of some extra magic we might receive.

I think there's a space in the form online now where you can note stuff like that when you make a reservation. We were sure to put it on all of ours, but it's not guaranteed they'll notice, so it's better to go in expecting nothing. (We took out extra insurance by making Mr. & Mrs. baseball cap mouse ears and shirts that said "I just got married at WDW and all I got was this lousy shirt.")

We honeymooned at WDW over 5 years ago and had the best time! Yes, add it to the special celebrations on all reservations, from room to sit down restaurants and yes, you will get lots of freebies. We did not get free ears but we bought the bride and groom ones and wore them everywhere! We got free desserts at every sit down, got to open Hollywood Studios one day and be in their opening show- being driven in Walt's car to Tower of Terror, and got dream fast passes at Magic Kingdom. We wanted to go back for 5th anniversary but did not work out. But have fun!!!

You can add it to your hotel reservation, and any dining ADR's.

Keep your expectations low. I wore my Disney bride shirts flying down and on a few days during as well as both of us wearing happily ever after pins. We did get our bride and groom ears monogrammed for free, and some confetti on a few of out tables. As well as a lot of "congratulations". And we were happy with those little pieces of magic.

I've seen too many honeymooners expect to be upgraded to club level or get free meals and it rarely happens these days. There are just too many people celebrating on any given day for them to give away things to all of them. But you can have a great time anyway.
