Bringing my own wine?

If I want to bring my own wine, can I pack it in my "check in" bag? Or will I need to bring it in my "carry on" bag?

Bring it in your carry on do not pack it in the checked luggage.

have also heard that you can bring your own bottle of wine to dinner...is this true...has anyone done it? Have also heard there is a recorking fee that is not always enforced...anyone have any experience here? Thanks

There is a $17.25 'corkage fee' per bottle to bring your own to dinner.
