I'm wondering if it's possible/allowed to bring lunch into Lights, Motors, Action or Indiana Jones show at HS. It seems like it is going to be difficult to fit in some of the shows, and this seems like a kill two birds kind of a thing. I assume I couldn't bring food into indoor shows, but I know people often bring food to Fantasmic. Any thoughts or help is appreciated!
Thanks!
P.S. This is my first post, so please be kind! :)

I think they sell popcorn etc at the lights...motors show so I guess taking snacks in should be fine. But also think about other guests, some may not want you eating next to them on the benches.

Pretty sure it isn't an issue.

I have taken Food and Wine items into the Ampitheater at Epcot. I don't rcall signs prohibiting it at other venues that are outdoors.

I've taken drinks in and I've seen people eating sometimes.

Yes it's fine; I've eaten lunch at the BatB show at DHS. It might only be a problem for the inside shows (e.g. Finding Nemo or Disney Junior Live), but even then I'm not sure.

We have eaten lunch in the Beauty and the Beast show as well as dinner waiting for Fantasmic. No issues at all.

Haven't done it for the other 2. But don't see any reason why not.

I agree.

The people on either side of us were gnawing on huge Toluca Turkey Legs at the Beauty and the Best Show I don't see why any other outside show should be different.

We took our backpack cooler in at the car stunt show and had drinks, cheese and crackers, chips, and fruit. Not a full meal but definitely more than just a drink and popcorn. No one said anything to us. I seem to recall passing soda vending machines as we were going in too. So I really don't think they will mind as long as you don't take in such a spread that it's going to bother the people sitting around you or be cumbersome to carry in. If you haven't done that show before, be aware that it can be a hike around to where you actually enter the stadium and then you may have a bit of a climb to find seats. That's what happened to us cause the stadium was almost full by the time we entered. We were really glad that DH thought to grab the backpack cooler off the stroller and took it in. We were parched and ready for a cold drink by the time we sat down.

Food and drink is allowed for outside shows ( brought in or purchased there ) unless you intend to spread out a four course meal ;) I BELIEVE the exception would be Flights of Wonder AK None allowed for inside shows

Thanks for the great replies. We were thinking of just getting Powerpacks for our boys and split a sandwich for the parents (and maybe a cupcake or two..). Good advice on bringing a cooler and/or drinks! That's really helpful!:cool1:

Totally! We enjoy snacking on the frozen chocolate bananas they sell out in front of Indiana Jones while we watch the showpopcorn::. Delish!

Soft sided coolers only, though, but you probably already knew that. As long as you're not eating a smelly salami and Roquefort cheese sandwich, I'm sure you'll be fine. Probably people will be throwing envious glances your way if your kids have easy eating foods like cheese and crackers, mini sandwiches, etc. and think, why didn't we do that?:)

Beer is allowed from the park vendors. Not that I every would have done that in the past or will do that in the future *whistles*.

Trust me, lots of shows are very entertaining when enjoying a beer while watching.

You can, but bear in mind that at times that show is PACKED full, so as you try to eat you may be elbowing others on either side on dropping crumbs atop the head in front of you.
