Bringing in Water bottles

Just read that outside drinks are not allowed at Universal....that they will search back packs......is this strictly enforced....I would like to carry in bottles of water like I have at the Disney parks in the past.

you can bring in anything that you bring into Disney - no picnic lunches and huge coolers - but water bottles and snacks are A OK!!!!

Snacks and drinks are always handy to have with you when exploring the theme parks. You can carry them with you in a backpack or shoulder bag. Be aware that your bag will be inspected by Security before you enter the theme parks, and you may have to check it in a rental locker before boarding certain thrill rides and roller coasters.

PLEASE NOTE: Coolers are not permitted in either theme park.
