I live here in florida, and was planning on bringing home, on a plane, one of the Topiaries plants that you can buy at one of the stands they have for the flower and garden festival. Its a wired, mossed filled frame with an ivy plant that looks somewhat like mickey mouse

Did anyone buy one and brought it home on the plane? I tried searching for it online and on the TSA website. They really said nothing about plants. I have brought other plants on planes before but nothing of this complexity.

Thanks of all who can help! :3dglasses

TSA is only concerned about security of your flight. If the plant has any lethal potential (which I doubt) they won't let it through. Otherwise, they could care less.

Your real problem is how to manage this on the plane. Will it fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you?

Yes the topiary is like a table top, will fit in my suitcase (or i will force it to xD).. I was think more of the water issue, because it requires a lot of water... i was going to dry it out as much as I can before I leave for the next couple of days and water it a little. I think I am just a bit nervous about it because of hearing people trying to bring different stuff like small potted plants and them saying no because it might contain bugs that can cause harm to another area or something ridiculous like that.

Not sure where the OP is located, but if you are in Canada you cannot bring plants across the border. Learned the hard way!

When I was over at Universal last week, I went into one of the gift shops in the Hidden Continent that sells small plants. They had signs on them saying they could not be flown to Texas, Arizona, or California.

I live in Florida and bringing it just to ohio on the plane...

Maybe this will help, here is a picture
