well DH finally made it to his Baltimore destination around 2am. I hope we don't have to experience flight delays next week. we fly to DC, Frankfurt, then Barcelona. too many connections and not enough time in between...but that could just be the worry wart in me. At least we have built in a little time, but I would like that extra time to be touring Barcelona. Summer and thunderstorms, always the possiblilty of flight delays.

OK whats the final decision? Is the brunch at 10.30 or 11? Our meet time was 11 not 10.30 as it was said on here sometime so I wasnt sure what time the other things were. So are we moving it?

Denverval - Im so sorry you wont be able to join us and if you do pop on here to check in we are all thinking of you and your family.

Lindsay

I can't believe it...we leave for the transatlantic repo cruise in exactly 7 days! I've managed to channel most of my anxiety about the transatlantic flight into excitement about the upcoming adventure. I resisted the temptation to downgrade to a cat. 12 guarantee, so hopefully being in my fav stateroom and enjoying the verandah on those 6 days at sea will ease the rantings of my inner-miser on the couple thousand bucks I could have had for the spa. I think it will be worth it as I relax out there and enjoy a good book, a snack, or just a nap...unless I end up with a chain cigar smoker next door (that would certainly be wicked irony!).

It's ironic...my grandparents all came to Ellis Island on transatlantic liners, and for them it was strictly transportation. They all died many, many years ago, but I wonder what they would think about their granddaughter taking the same cruise strictly for pleasure. Sort of ironc!

I just glanced at the time, it is 1:48 pm here and it just hit me that next friday at this time Hannah and I will be bording out 2:15 pm flight for Barcelona (with a connection in Munich). :goodvibes

I'm so excited and Oh my goodness, I still have so much to do!! :woohoo:

Repo will be #58, and our longest cruise so far (the longest we did previously was a 3/4/3 three-peat on the Wonder).

I just posted on our meets thread how it just hit me that next week at this time my DD and I will be boarding or aboard our 2:15 flight from Chicago to Munich to Barcelona. :woohoo: We are extremely excited and also I still have quite a few things to get done.:)

That's an interesting little hop! Ours is Orlando to New York to Dublin to Barcelona. Happy Limo picks us up at 8 a.m...we have a pretty hefty layover in NY but there should be lots of other DISers around. I can hardly wait to break in my spankin' new passport in Europe!

This is totally off topic, just a friendly hello from Wisconsin!

There is no excuse for me, I've been out of the DIS loop for months. I am, however, cruising with all of you in just over a week! I thought I would drop by and say "hello!" My clan is a group of 10 experienced Disney cruisers that are beyond excited about next Saturday. Hopefully, we'll get to know lots of you in the weeks to come.

Sorry to show up last minute...just wanted to share in some of the excitement!

Almost there Mickey...almost there!

Cheers for all of the DISers that are Bringing the Magic Home!

I haven't been on the thread much...busy juggling three jobs etc. so haven't had much time to think about vacation, but not that it's only a week away I am getting VERY excited!! I didn't keep track of group activities...we're pretty unstructured on this cruise, although I did some spa bookings. But I hope to see y'all on board (starting on the NY to Dublin flight for many!!).

Hi Lindsay, i don't know when the brunch is scheduled but it looks like we decided to start the DIS meet at 10 and keep the girl's ice cream social at 11.

ellen

Have a GREAT trip Barb (and all you other repo cruisers). We were originally booked on this repo, but had to cancel. Instead, we're headed to Alaska on NCL next week. Should be an interesting trip..... we haven't cruised with any line other than DCL in many years.

See everyone real soon!!!!:cool1:

Hi Barb, glad to see you are still around too. there are a lot of us catching that aer lingus flight on the 17th.

see ya at JFK, ellen

PS Anyone in contact with those who have already left can you please let them know that the meet has changed times or if you know who has already left pass me their id and Ill post a note through their doors once on the boat.

My neighbor is a cruise director on NCL. I think she is in warmer waters but not sure...just in case you end up with Linda Minnikin as your CD, please tell her that her neighbor Barb said hello!

That Aer Lingus flight out of JFK on the 17th is going to be like a Dis Express. You all are going to have a great time. I'm a little envious cause I don't think there will be anyone with us on our Lufthansa flights. :sad1:

But hey, I will see you all on the ship!!:cheer2:

isn't there a special disney cruise phone number family can call in case they need to reach us on the ship? does anyone have it?

thanks, ellen
