Not sure if I have posted here or not but there are 8 of us traveling in 4 cabins.

6 of us are flying from CMH(depart 12:30) to JFK then JFK(depart 5:30pm) to BCN(arrive Aug 18 at 7:35am) on August 17th, anyone else on this flight?

I have some more tips especially for those needing to travel light overseas for the Med cruise.
Child's soft toy can double as a pillow or neck cushion. Most airline personel won't have the heart to count this as an extra piece of carry on especially when your kid is holding it dressed up in their arms. If necessary it can be squeezed into a backpack.
Comfortable flip flops can be worn at the beach, standard daywear, spa, public showers and at the end of the night for those tired feet after wearing heels for dinner.
Flannel Lounge wear can be used for the gym, and as a coverall for swim suits for the beach, pool, spa.
Wear your warm sweater or wrap it around your waist while boarding the plane, it will also double as a pillow or blanket for the flight and leave more room in your luggage for something else.
Pack some gum or mints for fresh breath in the morning, since we can't take any mouthwash or toothpaste in carryons - Yes they will confiscate it (in Dublin) unless you have a direct flight from the US to BCN.

I love these tips - they're really good and have given me some good ideas. I just wanted to point out the EU rules regarding hand baggage. You are able to take liquids in your hand baggage subject to the following restrictions:-

New European Union hand baggage security restrictions will take effect on all flights to and from EU/EEA airports from the 6th November 2006 onwards. Consequently, from this date, passenger hand baggage containing any liquids, gels, pastes, lotions or liquid cosmetics MUST be presented at the airport passenger security point in a transparent re-sealable bag of no more than one litre capacity (e.g. 20cm x 20cm ziplock freezer bag). Only gels, pastes, lotions and liquid cosmetics in containers of 100mls or less will be permitted through the passenger security screening points at all EU/EEA Airports, please note there is a limit of one transparent resealable plastic bag per person*.

And of course, anything you buy beyond security in the departure lounge (I'm talking about EU airports, I don't know about US airports) can be taken on board.

I love the travelling bit of a holiday (sorry, vacation for you guys). I'm a bit of an anorak (geek) when it comes to airports, airplanes etc! and actually like flying indirect and stopping off at different airports!

What works for me is to as soon as I get on the plane set my watch to whatever time it is in the timezone I'm travelling to, and then try and stick as closely as I can to whateverr I should be doing in that timezone. Sleep when you should be sleeping, eat when you should be eating etc, and keep that up. Don't give in to the temptation to just get to your hotel and crash. Stay up until it's the right time to go to bed and then crash!

That's what I've done on my trips across the Pond. If I can get 3 hours or so of sleep, I can make it through the day. I'll be beat by 10PM but just fine the next day on a good night's sleep.
I'm almost looking forward to losing the time all at once instead of the hour a day we had on the May repo.

Call them, they have it. If you used a travel agent contact them as disney would not give it direct to me. I am flying philadelphia to frankfurt and frankfurt to barcelona both on Lufthansa. Orlando to philly on USAIR.

There's going to be quite a few of us at this gate waiting for that Aer Lingus Friday 17th flight to Barcelona via Dublin.
I think it may be a good idea to wear our lanyards or something so at least we can recognize each other. It'll be a bit embarassing to figure out on the ship that you'd sat next to a fellow Diser for almost half a day without knowing

wearing the lanyards is a good idea.

We are not on the same flight , but we do arrive 40 minutes after you but we leave out of Philly ....

I am new on the board and I have been working on bring myself back up to date on different events that are going on during the cruise but I am not sure I figured it all out so I was wondering if someone could give me a quick update.

I got an email about the lanyards so I think that I am good on that one.

We can purchase the hats and shirts directly from the site listed??

I understand what a DIS tag is, but how do I join in the fun?

It is to late to sign up for the breakfast/brunch for Ladies, correct?

We are also flying out of CMH - Port Columbus - but are leaving on Monday the 13th. We fly to JFK on Delta, then transfer to LOT Polish airlines and fly to Barcelona through Warsaw. We get into Barcelona at 2:35 in the afternoon - a bit longer than the Delta flight, but we were able to get business class on LOT for less than coach on Delta.

We were originally on AirPlus Comet. I am glad they quit flying our route because we got our money back and the LOT trip is a good deal.

Lisatx and I were both on the June 16th Medhead cruise. We had so much fun we HAD to join you all! We left our families home this time though

We are flying on Delta from Houston into Paris then Barcelona. We will arrive on the 17th and stay at my favorite Barcelona hotel, Casa Camper

As for the Dis TAg. We seem to be doing a differant version. It is with a fish extender. You are welcome to join in on that. All you need to do is have a fish extender. Gift ideas for the extender are anything from your home state or stuff folks can use on the cruise.
