Does anyone know what day that is???? I need to know that before deciding on Tie night--hey maybe that should be half way night!!!! We all celebrate reaching the half way point by wearing our ties!

You have all been wonderful helping me with my mini trip to NYC. Your recommendation for a hotel must have been on the money becaue there is no room available. SO once again, I ask for your assistance. Does nayone have a second choice? The Marriott Marquis is fully booked.

FYI - on pirate night, we will have Captain Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth in her pirate gear from Dead Man's Chest, and Tia Dalma. Will there be any other characters from the movies?


I like the half way celebration - as long as it doesn't coincide with anything else.

I am going to give the meet for younger kids 8-10ish one more try as I have been asked for information for the navigator but so far have no other kids in the age bracket or we have non that are interested. Or we can expand to 6-10 if that makes sense. Let me know if anyone is interested

Upper east side, a few blocks from Carl Schurz Park. It's funny that we will also be neighbors on the cruise! Rockaway is beautiful -- I love how wild the ocean is there.

My oldest daughter (15) just got back from a foreign exchange program in Cadiz, and I am going to show you a few pictures to get you excited for that port -- she really enjoyed the city, it's very walkable, and the beach is great. The first picture is of my daughter, and the rest were taken by her.

Definitely will offer up our cabin for a room tour. I just don't know what cabin/category I'm in. Currently a GTY 12 so who knows where we'll end up.

I have added your room to the list. We now have 4 definate room tours and one to be confirmed and so far we have 4 people to tour plus the people showing their rooms Im guessing might want to tour the others so should be a few of us.

Honestly, as a NY'er, I've only stayed in one hotel in Manhattan ever and it was only because a travel agency was offering a promotion that you get a free hotel stay the night before your cruise (that left from manhattan). It was the Doubletree Guest Suites Times Square and it was very nice. All the rooms are suites, but I'm not entirely sure if there are different amounts of bedrooms. I know we had one bedroom and a living room (with a fold out couch) and there was a kitchen area, but I don't remember what was in it since we didn't use it. We had a view right ontp Broadway. When I satyed it was seven years ago, so I don't know what it's like now, but it probably didn't change much. I liked that the Virgin Megastore was right up the block, and they gave you a delicious cookie when you check in! Those are the things I remember about the hotel! It's also not too far from World of Disney NYC (which is on 55th Street & 5th Avenue). Now THAT you should definitely see!
