Sorry I've been away for so long ... been busy at work & home ...
PLUS - they have put up a firewall at work - so no quick peeks during work ... truly stinks

AND - when my bosses added up how many days out of the office we were going for --- the stuff hit the fan  But told them - all booked - paid - and going :goodvibes and besides it it only 1 more day than my trip in '05.

I've updated the cruiser list .... Thinking of doing the DCL snorkel in Tenefrie... :)

Hi Everyone,
My family and I will be joining all of you on this cruise. It's me, DH and DD (10 years old). We've had a deposit down on the cruise for a long time and finally decided to go for it last weekend. We booked our flight on Aer Lingus out of JFK on Aug 17. I think there are a couple of other families on this flight.

My DD is most excited about spending 6 consecutive days on the ship. So far the ports do not interest her. I'll have to find a way to make them more appealing.

Did everyone see on Deb's unofficial disney site, allearsnet.com, that the Disney Dreams show is being enhanced and will debut on the Magic in time for the Med. cruises? Also, the sail away party will be improved.

Looking forward to a lot of surprises.

Ellen

Anone interested in a group tour of Barcelona,
by fattiretours.com

We took one of their tours in Berlin, and it was great - native English speakers, all the sights, lots of fun, and no great biking skill necessary.

So - the plan is - 9 AM Sunday morning (less traffic?). They have adult bikes, bikes for children, and bike seats for kids who ride with parents. The general tour is on their website. I have posted on another site, and some of you responded there :thumbsup2

Let me know if you are interested. It is 20 euro per person and lasts 4 hours. Includes the bike - which are easy ride cruiser bikes, with both hand and foot brakes, and a few gears. The starting point is near the Barcelona Cahthedra which is not that far from the ship.

Hi Suzanne,

My family would like to join this bike tour. I checked out the website and it looks like a great tour. Starting at 9 in the morning might also mean cooler weather and time to do something else in the afternoon. Thanks for putting it together. It's me, DH and DD who's 10.

Hi Ellen! Glad to hear you are sailing. My daughter will be 10 when we sail, we'll have to introduce them. :goodvibes

Welcome New Cruisers!

Erica, I'll know how you feel since on Monday and Tuesday I'll be away at a course! God two whole days without internet during the day!:scared1:

Thanks Disney Elf- Now it seems more real since I am officially on the list. The funny thing was that all weekend i have been contemplating canceling this cruise but have decided to stay!!.

I had a very very bad travel week and spent alot of time in airports (went to spain actually) and it started to really make me doubt/question the flights and connections and everything else. I have tentatively booked Disney air but my real plan has been to book my own when i get a good rate and cancel Disney. I really really want to be on the USAIR direct flight from phil to barcelona but that is still $1360 a person for the one way fare. I am afraid disney is going to send me on 2 or 3 connections (like phil to new york to dublin to barcelona or something). We finally decided it is vacation, we will be together and we will just deal with being tired if we have too many flights!!

Try kayak.com. I wasn't sure how early you wanted to ehad out, but I searched 8/16 and they have the flight you want for $760 or leaving on 8/17, it's only $652. I only priced for 1 person, so I don't know how many discount seats they have. The way kayak works is it searches all the other sites, then tells you where to purchase. In this case 1800cheapseats was the best for either day.

WELCOME ABOARD by the way.

We are goign out of PHilly as well. We too wanted that direct USair flight, but the cost drove DH away. We ended up witha great rate on Lufthansa through Frankfurt. If you want the website we used just let me know. It was about 700 a person.

Exactly what we did-no one could come close to the rate we got with Lufthansa.

:hourglass Do you guys realize that 22 Fridays from now, we will embark?:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Buddy and I have been finishing up with our airfare. We got a trip from Pittsburgh to Boston and then on to Dublin Ireland on August 10 for $345 each. Buddy then found a Dublin to Barcelona on 08/18/07 for $126 each. Whoo Hoo!

I'm still looking for a flight from MCO back to Pittsburgh and hope to score seats for less than $80. I'm waiting for Southwest to open those flight dates.

Buddy's "in charge" of finding hotels for Ireland. I told him I'd take care of accomodations starting 8/18/07:lmao:

Are we excited yet???

We watched Samantha Brown's travel channel show on Barcelona and DD was not thrilled by any of the sights. When I suggested doing a bike tour through the city, her ears perked up. She likes that idea. Also, I think seeing the magic fountain of montjuic would be nice for saturday night. I also think walking Las Ramblas has enough stuff going on to keep her interest.

I am going to record that show the end of the month. DGD is excited about the fountain as well. Seems to have something to do with the Cheetas. I am going to explore some shore excursion ideas on our own so we can keep her interested and Dh as well.
