Dee, we changed our flights. We're leaving on Aer Lingus, now. 5:40 out of JFK, I think. Yes, it is sucking up a lot of my vacation $$. Oh well, less for the kids to inheirit.

I'm still not sure about excursions, except for Barcelona. I hope we get some good travel reports from the May group.

Anybody else doing Aer Lingus on the 17th?

I am here. It sure seems quiet. I would have thought that when we hit the 6 month mark things would take off. See what I get for thinking.

I am trying really hard to not stress. I am very nervous about the flight to Spain. I am concerned about not getting there in time. I was thinking about changing my flight, but the expense is prohibitive. Unless someone has a great web site I can check other than expedia,kayak, orbitz. I do not feel like they target ALL the airlines.

I will also be able to plan better after the May repo sails. I wonder if they will let us check in only at certain times or throughtout the night. I wonder if the kids club wil be open the first night in case we want to check o ut the city at night. So many questions, so few answers.

Your Nervous ...Im worried about the pain on my butt from flying ...I just got back from Buffalo and flew straight threw to Vegas which was 5 hours and 2 moniutes and my Butt was screaming ...I have no idea how I am going to handle that long flight to barcelona

You Shuffled off from Buffalo! Too bad, we could have had a mini meet! But of course, the snow would have stopped that from happening!

The key is to take walks during your flight! Walk to the back to ask for another drink! or two!

Flew to Tokyo last year, 11 hours, oy! The flight attendants kept teasing me because I kept walking to the back galley all the time. I felt like I wanted to run a marathon when I got off the plane. I didn't want to sit for nothin'!

I'm also hoping that the kids clubs will be open. I'd love to check out some of the night life. If not, I'll just drag my son around to see the city at night. I just won't be able to see the clubs.

Airfare - haven't booked yet. I've been using farchase on Yahoo and cheapoair.com. There's some really great prices on cheapoair but I haven't been able to find many reviews about them. Unlike kayak, you book directly with cheapair, so I'm nervous about that.

I originally booked through CheapoAir on Delta from Nashville to Barcelona. The fare was listed as $690, but the taxes and fees upped the price to $800 per ticket. Delta changed the flight time from Barcelona to 10:00 so we couldn't make the flight. Delta allowed me to change all my flights without a fee so they must be okay with Cheapo.

ah finally someone who booked with them....yes, I've seen the additional fees, but they still come out cheaper than anything else I've found....good to know that Delta worked things out for you, the flight I'm looking at is on United so hopefully they'll be just as willing to help if things get switched around.

I booked through www.flycheapabroad.com. They don't display the airlines, but I had been doing so much searching that I was pretty familiar with who flew where when, so I knew I was choosing Delta beforehand. In their FAQs, they say:

Why aren't the names of the airlines displayed until after the time of booking?
In order to preserve the low rates negotiated with the airlines, we are not allowed for certain routes and dates to display the name of the airline. You will see the name of the airline and the complete routes as well as the details of the flight once you book. We guarantee it will be a major airline.

We had no issues at all booking through them, the confirmation came through within 24 hours, and they provided the airline's reference number, which makes it easy to check our itinerary with the airlines directly. We did immediately purchase travel insurance on it and the cruise.

Give it a look. They include all taxes up front.

Well we finally decided on our Hotel in Barcelona ...were going with the Grand Marina ....out of the hotels that Disney is offering that seems to be the best choice ....
