in barcelona i've heard good things about a tour company call "FAT TIRE TOURS". i guess they use moutain type bikes

We did a "Fat tire" tour in Berlin about two years ago - at the time the copmany had tours in Berlin, Paris, and Barcelona. It was GREAT - fantastic guide - went to all the highlight places and the guide knew the good routes. Their bikes are leisure street bikes with both hand and foot brakes, and they take curbs and cobblestones. They are designed so you sit in a upright position so you can see everything.

I think it would be fun to do a Barcelona tour on Sunday morning.

Okay....this is not from me but my oh so lovely daughter who will be almost 17 when we cruise was wondering who has DS or DGS on this cruise and are they cute?????

Also, last repo we did a fantastic gift exchange any thoughts on us doing that again?

Thanks
Pauline and her very delightful and single daughter Paige :thumbsup2

couldnt find anything they wanted 1300 dollars just for one way, then i tried it roundtrip and it was still 1300 dollars. the fare i got from disney was 905 that included philly to barcelona, orlando to philly, and all ground transfers.
did you actually book this for 245 dollars? let me know how you did it please.

Hey Pluto-
I just went on Kayak.com :surfweb: I just did a quikie search for one way from Philly to Barcelona on Aug 17 and came up with a $750 one way fare on Lufthansa. There's supposed to be one kick-butt airline from everyone I've ever talked to who have flown with them. DCL quoted us $940 airfare from Chicago to Barcelona and back from Orlando to Chicago. We went with our own airfare when I found that I could save over $400 booking flights separately. But that's just what worked best for us. Your mileage may vary :)

Hiya fellow cruisers!

Here's another one joining the group. I'm from Montreal, Canada. This will be my second cruise and certainly not the last one. After reading big parts of the thread, I'm convined everybody will have a fun time aboard the Disney Magic!

It seems I will be travelling solo as my friends just cancelled. But since I've been planning this for over a year now, there's no way I'll change my mind.

I didn't finalized how I'll get to Barcelona yet, (through Paris or London?, DLRP?). I'm also considering the train option from Paris I read about in this thread. I was to avoid the train because I was travelling by myself but that would be different with a group. And I'd love to spend a couple of nights in Paris, la ville lumière.

See ya later!

David :yay:

:goodvibes Welcome aboard all the new people. Would love to have you join in on the train ride ..... it's going to be a hoot -- though part of me is wondering WHY we are booking sleeper compartments - when almost none of us (except the kids) are going to sleep :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry I have been neglecting our thread - but work has been very busy - I'm in the middle of designing workflows & procedure guides under a tight deadline ... and at home - been making curtains for my nephew & his girlfriend's new apartment. That's almost done. Of course her daughter's room has a princess valance - with white panels behind (got a stain glass pattern on the white)

Will update shortly --

Don't forget to try - www.flycheapaboard.com too for airfare.

Welcome David!

There are a bunch of us Crazy Canucks on this voyage! A few of us, from all over are going to Paris the week prior and using DLP as our home base! Feel free to join us!

Erica, we need a safe place for the luggage!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

well, got confirmation. . .definitely have a PIRATE NIGHT!!!!! so, get your costumes in order. . . pirate:

i was peeking on the "may 12 repo meets" and found that they got some sort of info stating 1 formal night, 2 semi formal nights, and. . .drum roll please. . . pirate: pirate night pirate: --but didn't say which night is which. . .now i can go out and buy my daughter a pirate costume--the rest of us have left overs from halloween!

I was expecting two formal nights... but a cruise without a pirates night? Nah! That will be the best pirates night ever :)

I guess I'll join many of you in Paris and then on the train to Barcelona. Got to buy that plane ticket before the price goes up :)
