I got the same thing. Did you find anything out?? :confused3

Me too. Can someone enlighten me? Is it just competition for the DIS, and that's why they can't give a link? Also, I consider this spamming, which really annoys me. I mean, I would love to get PMs from cruisers here, but not ads for a different web site!

Forget about it!

There are certain names and sites that are not allowed to be mentioned.

Way before your time!

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Has anybody had experience on the Train from Paris to Barcelona?

With all this mention of Strikes at the drop of a Hat, a few of us were wondering if it would be better to leave Paris Thursday night instead of Friday night? Also, is renting a car an option if something of this nature were to happen?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The only site that you will receive, is for our private area that is under developement. I don't think it is a great idea - to post pics of your fellow cruisers, names & states they come from on a public forum. I for one, don't want to worry about somebody breaking into our house while I'm cruising - or to find out someone's child was stalked.

I'm even leary of posting all our cabin #'s here - not that I think anyone would break into a cabin while we are at a meet or group activity.

Back to our reg. scheduled program

I never recieved in am email from my 'ex" TA. even after emailing her. We are now trying to decide if we want to still go and book at the higher price

Sorry, this doesn't make me feel any better. Why would someone who doesn't post here invite me somewhere else? I was told that only the discussion boards are private so how does this protect me and my family? Sounds more fishy than that.

If it bothers you, then just ignore it and don't worry about it. There is a lot of planning to do so don't sweat the little things like this.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if DCL is going to be offering any DLP add ons for this cruise? We want to do this and are wondering the best way to get from point a to point b.

Thanks,

Reneé

How many of you have either transferred your DCL ressie to a TA or originally made your ressies with a TA? I am just curious because I want to transfer ours, but I am looking for some massage and wine money in the form of an onboard credit. I know we can't say most TA's, but if you did use one, what was the best credit you got?

Renee, I read somewhere here that there would be no "add on" DLP packages. It doesn't seem to make sense, but it may change with enough demand. I would love to visit DLP but my vacation balances are a joke, so two weeks will be cutting in close enough.

Jill - Thanks for the reply about DLP. Do you remember me from Cruisetoberfest III? :teeth:

Of course I do! I was just thinking about how tiny Haley was....maybe two years old or so then? She is a cutie....and well traveled, may I add. The lucky girl! They only thing that will stop Tim and I from going on this cruise is the addition of a third fox! Still trying :teeth:

So how many of you are obsessively checking airfares already? I have about a half dozen Disney cruises before the repo so I'm not obsessing on the cruise itself, but now the flights are pre-occupying me! Guess I had to find SOMETHING to get paranoid about. I'll be much happier when I can finally price the specific dates. I was also worried that some European airlines might allow smoking, but the folks at Flyer Talk said most don't anymore. That is a big issue for me, as there is no way I could spend half a day locked in a flying cigar tube with smoke, and most of the airlines that are coming up are ones I've never heard of.
Barb

You and me both - Barb -- I would be a. Barking like a seal or b. Turning blue from not breathing. :rotfl2:

Yes - a lot of us - are obessing on the flight costs - have you looked at kayak.com -- it searches airline websites, consolidators etc.

I have comparison shopped flights from JFK to Paris (We are part of the group doing DLP first) and then from Orlando back to NY - using the same days of the week for '07 - but for this year - and have found flights about $ 577 pp. Aer Lingus with a stop - but it will be doable.

Any ideas on the train from Paris to Barcelona -- I know 14 hours - but it is a sleeper car - and first class looks like $ 256 - total for 2 people. Now do we leave on Thurs or Friday - and how often does the train break down or will they have a strike :confused3 They have a place around 20 mins. from me that you can by tickets -- I'm sure they will look at me as if I have three heads when I tell them the trip is for next year :rotfl:

Yep, she was 23 months old on that cruise. Can you believe she has gone on 3 cruises so far plus the 10 night in September and she is only 3 years old!

That is so great about trying to have a little fox. It makes for an interesting cruise when you have a baby with you.

Who's Obsessing! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There are so many new details to consider! Have to look at all options!

Like they say, The Early Bird Catches the Worm! or in this case the lower airfare! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And once I get airfare settled in, I'm all ready to start obsessing about shore excursion options!! And once that is done, then how to juggle Palo/spa around an unknown show schedule. And by that time I can start obsessing about the flight again...will I freak out halfway across the Atlantic and have to be shot with elephant tranquilizer and strapped in my seat?

It's gonna be a rough year and a half!

Barb

It's ok Barb. Just take a deep cleansing breath.....aaaahhhhhh. Now doesn't that feel better?! Our little support group here will help get you through the next year! I doubt any tranquilizers will be necessary...at least I HOPE not! You're very experienced at this cruising thing & I'm sure all of your repo dreams will come true!

You guys all crack me up!

Happy weekend everyone. I'm away from my computer this weekend...I'll be playing catch-up on Sunday and Monday.

No Worries!

You'll be so busy on board that then next thing you'll know is they will be telling you to leave.............14 days is the perfect cruise! Well a longer one would be better but that's all we have for now! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

With 14 days, it's easier to rearrange schedule!

Wow Perdita&Pongo! Someone in your group is 93?! That's so great! I need to tell this to my Granny. We took her on her first cruise/vacation in Jan. of 05 when she was 75. She thought that was SO old! Now she has no excuses about being "too old to cruise." We're taking her again next Feb., (yeah she loved it), so I'll tell her about your story. That will get her going!
