April 4th can't come quick enough and I don't care what it is, as long as I have a cabin - so I can snooze on deck 4 I will be happy!

Ok - Im in too . I switched my May Repo ressie to August.
I was lucky enough to snag a SPR

Yeah Yeah Yeah for us all. I am certain that 16 months will breeze by. :thumbsup2 Thanks for those of you that have reassured me about the sea days. In October I was on RCCL and my and DH and I contiplated jumping over out of boredom. I felt that DCL would entertain us and you guys have confirmed that. Thanks :goodvibes

Getting to the deck 4 lounge chairs will have to be an official activity - since on the last repo - most of us never made it either.

I'm not booked yet - but have been reassured not to worry - it's all set -- so.....

I think we need to get this thread moving. How much info - do we want on the first post ....

I'm thinking - Names - Cat # & Deck & # of people in your group. Eventually we will do a set of deck plans - with all our cabin #'s on it ..so we can see how much of the ship we are going to have. Last time our group was 20% of the ship.

16 months will fly by .... and planning will keep us busy. :thumbsup2

Now get yourself another counter.... :hourglass

With this group so far, I don't think "boredom" is even in our vocabulary! let a lone an option! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So glad to hear people have been reassured by their travel agents. People have been feeling so anxious over the possibilities of being priced out. It's looking good for most people!

Congrats Nancy! :thumbsup2

I think I've got this waiting part down this time. Last time we sailed the Panama Canal Repo cruise, I couldn't wait for the 15 months to pass. THIS time, I realize my little girl will be turning 10 and I will be 40 the summer we sail. That has changed how quickly I want time to pass! I'll just enjoy the delicious anticipation while remaining in my youthful 30s.

Morning everyone! :wave2:

Wow! A Pirates III movie is in the works?! Man, am I out of the loop. The 2nd one comes out on my son's birthday this summer, so I've been put on notice he wants to see it THAT day!

O.K. - early confession. I "lurked" on the Panama Canal repo thread, but never joined in. I kicked myself later that I didn't get to know people before we sailed....so, I'm jumping in with both feet (both fingers?!) this time!

faireygod mother -- You won't be bored on THIS repo! Disney packed it in on the PC repos....that's why so many of us never made it to Deck 4!

Trying to decide whether to lug the laptop over to Spain or not. I've never gone through airport security with it.......is it a pain? I know years ago flying out of Germany with a portable dvd player....we had to power it up, they checked the batteries....it took a while. Hopefully, laptops are so common now it won't be too much of a hassle. Anyone use their laptops on board since the wireless has been up and running? Does it work well? Lots of areas to access it? Bring laptop or don't bring laptop?

Another wish for pixie dust for those booking on April 4th! pixiedust:

ds2Mom,

Travelling with the laptop is not such a hassle now . We always take one, just remember to put through the security scanners seperately rather than leaving it in your hand luggage. You may be unlucky and be asked to show it working before you board your plane. DH got pulled out of the line to have his bag checked like this on a trip over to the US once and had to show them the laptop, video camera, still camera, mp3 player, nintendo ds all working before he was allowed to board - DS and I left him to it :-)

When we were on the East bound PC repo last August the wireless service was very good, and certainly many people were using it.

ds2Mom, I can't say that the DH and I have ever traveled overseas, but we've ALWAYS brought our laptop. I take LOTS of pictures & couldn't survive without something to upload them to. I'm guessing you're correct on your statement that laptops are very common these days & it shouldn't be a hassle in the airport.

winnyis, sounds like you had a change of heart on which repo to choose! Congrats on buying yourself 6 extra hours of sleep! Lose the hours on the flight over to Barcelona, gain them back on the sea on the way home! HA! Ok, that's not the ONLY reason to choose the August repo...but it's a good one!

Disney Elf, as far as I'm concerned, I'm in for posting whatever info you suggest to get this Repo thread started. Like ds2Mom, I got involved in the Panama repo trip a little too late. I'm in this time though....for certain!

Thanks for the quick laptop info! I think it makes sense to bring it vs. wait for access at the Internet Cafe. On the May repo, the wireless wasn't up yet and there were LONG waits. Not fun. So, laptop it is! :thumbsup2

DisneyDiva4ever -- I thought if we ever did another repo, I would join in on the thread early. I think we're definitely early this time! :woohoo: Should we think about pins yet? :lmao: :rotfl:

winnyis -- Welcome! We were going to do the May repo, too....but switched to August because someone forgot her sons' baseball schedule. :rolleyes1

I'm so glad you joined now. I hope anyone else wondering on whether or not to join in will be persuaded by your post. It's great everyone gets to know each other well, but I hope it doesn't give the impression it's such a tight knit group there is no room for new friends.

RobinMarie -- I hope others feel they can join in at any time, too!

On the May repo, whenever I saw the "fish extenders" on the stateroom doors, the DISers talking, etc....I mentally made a note to not be such a chicken next time about joining.

llachance, we are with you patiently (and not so patiently) waiting for April 4th to book. We will be switching our Easter 2007 over to the repo (but I do not want to anger the cruise gods by switching my ticker until it is official :goodvibes )

So, hopefully we will be cruising with all of you fun people. I am up for planning any fun DIS activities or meets. Unfortunately, our recent (first) DCL on 2/18 we had a very rushed meet and did not make any plans to get together later on the ship, so we really only met a few DISer's (which would explain how DH and I had time to get to the comfy chairs on Deck 4  ) I would gladly give up the deck 4 chairs to meet some fun new people, though... :wizard:

Testing my new counter...isn't it pretty?

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!

Hannosmom, that new counter is just lovely! It's the little things in life!

So, exactly how many blue chairs ARE there on 4th deck? We'll have to figure that out! :) We could always rotate shifts...some could sit on 7th aft overlook in blue chairs and others could take turns on 4th deck when people need a break from the sun! What a fun excursion!

Lorraine, I am loving your 'sign' - map thingy...maybe you could share the map/port part with us and we could use it as a 'basic' logo for our door signs...everyone have that 'map' as part of one of their doorsigns to identify us??? ...it is VERY cool :yay:

Okay, I give up!
What are Fish Extenders??? :confused3

Will also be bringing ours for the pictures......not sure about the wireless...found using the cruise ship computers in Cove Cafe very convenient.

Ok, I'm all excited because I have a new sig! I've been working on this & Lorraine has inspired me to get it up and running! Out with the old pirate pic of me feeding my parrot & in with the new! Still DisneyDiva4ever, just a new updated look!

I just thought I'd show it you guys first! Here goes....
