Palo wasn't a problem last cruise.

I really haven't seen much in the excursions that excites me. Gibralter I'll do on my own. Otherwise I'm looking at the wine tasting tours. If I get them great, if not, I'm sure I'll find something to off the ship;)

+We only have a month of Saturdays before we cruise. I must be bored to have even taken the time to count them.:rotfl2: Actually I m excited and nervous about the trip. I have traveled abroad and lived there, but this is differnt for me this time.

I too am unsure about the shore excursions. I would be interested in hearing about doing Gibralter on your own thou. Please share.

Well we got our Duffle's from ebags the other day. Man they are huge ...we ordered four of them in Yellow of course ( Im yellow kinda guy when it comes to certain things) :lmao: :lmao: but it was well worth the 57 dollars each for a 200 dollar bag ...They are nice and light and sturdy , should make the allowances with the airlines a no brainer.

Now it looks like I have Pirate Night confirmed for our cruise, not positive but I am talking to someone on the inside ..:lmao: :lmao:

Now I have to figure out if me effects are going to break any international security code ...The Captain can not be without his effects ...

Anyone know how to contact Frank the head of security on the Magic ??? He knows me well and he would have the answers for me on me effects, great guy too ...He xrayed all my stuff at PC in DEC to make sure we were okay , even gave me a hard time everytime I got off the ship and asked why I wasnt dressed up ..lol

Mediterranean Disabilities Help needed

I am hoping someone experienced with overseas travel can help.

My DF suffers from congestive heart failure and COPD. He is ambulatory but tires quite easily and due to poor circulation, his legs cramp when he walks too far.

Last Fall we took a 10 day cruise on the Disney Wonder and were not only able to take his mobility scooter onboard (never mind that it broke down & we left it parked in our stateroom), but we were able to rent oxygen for him to use.

We then fell in love with Disney cruising and booked the 14 day Western Repostioning cruise. We plan to spend a week in Ireland before going to Barcelona.

I think I've talked him out of taking the mobility scooter and think I will rent a wheelchair, as Europe obviously is not compliant with Americans with Disabilities Legislation. ;)

My question is this: Does anybody know or have any tips for us to rent Oxygen in Dublin Ireland or Barcelona Spain? Especially that would let us take the O2 tanks to Cape Canaveral, USA?

It's not like we can rent them and return them to the place we got them from like we did last fall.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Popping in for a second :)

Welcome all the new cruisers --- :goodvibes

Leira - I'm sure - Miora - Walsh Family - can try to help find out some answers for you - she lives in Ireland.

Hi Valerie,

Don't know if I'll be much help in this area (not an area of expertise at all!) but I have found the following:-

There is a company that ships worldwide (US company) which includes Ireland and Spain, so it might be your first port of call (pardon the pun!)
http://www.travelo2.com
The next is a wholesale medical group based in Ireland, our company deals with them for first aid kits etc and I know they are very helpful, so they may not be able to deal with you directly but they can tell you who will. any problem with this, then PM me and I'll ring directly. all numbers and contacts are on the website
http://www.flemingmedical.ie/
The last are a company based in Dublin who hire our mobility scooters etc, which might be handy for the time you are in Ireland.
http://www.aemobility.com/index.html
If this isn't getting you anywhere let me know, I can help you further if you need it! Also, if you need any help with accomodation, etc, again PM me.

Moira.

If there's anything you want to know about "Gib" just PM me,i have an apartment overlooking the harbour and have spent a lot of time on the Ireland over the years

Oh Moira, you are a big help! :thumbsup2 Thank you so much.

DF is in the hospital right now, having surgery to try to get more circulation in his leg. When he gets out, and I am not spending almost all my free time visiting him, I'm going to check out these links. If I need more help, I'll PM you.

DisneyVegas1--we got the same duffles from ebags--ours are SKY BLUE! can hardly wait to take them for a twirl (at only 7# per bag--that means 43# of Clothes and Shoes :rotfl2: )

Got a quote for a DLP add on from DCL....looks like I'm back to planning this portion on my own.

DCL is only offering set packages with length of stay park hoppers.

For a 4 night stay I was quoted:

Newport Bay - $872 per adult (12+)
Hotel New York - $981 per adult (12+)

These are the only hotels offered.

That seems cheap compared to what I'm forkin' over for the Tinkerbell Suite!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The "Tinkerbell" suite, 69m². Is reminiscent of the charm and atmosphere of the Victorian era. With a view over Fantasia Gardens this suite features a double bedroom and a lounge with a convertible sofa for one adult or two children.
Price example* "Tinkerbell" suite: You don't want to know!;)

I have to find the pics that were posted, but first I have to remember where!

Wow with all this talk about the PC repos our cruise thread has died:lmao: :lmao: Hopefully once the excitement is gone it will pick back up ...And of course we are doing the PC repo eastbound as well ....Well only 7 months for this one and 18 months and 4 weeks till the next one ....
