lets see

Lisa may remember better than I --you go to the terminal, a porter takes your tagged luggage immediately (this is outside). They check you off a list, then you go inside through the metal detector and a conveyor belt for your carry ons, then get any paperwork you did not fill out ahead of time, and stand in line to check in. After you check in you go to another large room where people were waiting, pictures were being taken, and some entertainment (but we kinda ran through that part because as soon as we got in and were greeting disfriends they called us to board).

The gift shop was in the first room.

Sorry I cannot remember more!

Hi,
I just checked the main board - someone asked this same question - seems like the earliest people got on was noon - 12:30.
Maybe, we should see if our taxi/shuttlel would give us a short tour on the way or stop at a shop - like to pick up some wine!

:thumbsup2 Now that sounds like a plan!

Monica,
BTW - since I'm renting a car - I can give you & you Mom a lift to the airport. Let me know when you book your flight.

Great. Thanks for the offer. Once I get the flights nailed down, we can figure this out. I know your flight is pretty late and I'd hate for you to have to go to the airport early just for us.

Hey,
I ordered a silk undercover moneybelt from ebags and it just arrived. It's perfect - fits passport, airline tix, train tix and Euros (once I get them) - I tried US $. And still is flat.
One more item to cross off the list!

Okay - However, I think I might be doing alot of driving - depends on where & what time we might be meeting w/others. I don't mind driviing - although I've never driven in the area - last time my son-in-law drove & a limo driver. Could just be another adventure!

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but could someone tell me the dining schedule? How many semi formal/formal nights. It's time to start worrying about the wardrobe :laundy: ::MinnieMo

1 Formal and 2 semi formals

Formal night is the first day at sea ....and I forgot what dates were for the semi formals ....I think one is the 25th cause I believe thats the night we put in for Palo ....the other one I am not so sure about ..

Question for you folks that did a med cruise. How long did it take to get your luggage and get to the ship.

We arrive at noon and I want to be part of a 3pm shore excursion.

Need help.:confused3

Our first DIS meet was at 1:30 in the resturant that was open (for us it was Parrot Cay). After we ate we went straight to the room and the luggage was all in there so maybe 2:00?:confused3

i just figured up i have under 400 working hours left till i cruise. i have 33 working days left at 12 hours a day= 396 hours.

Hey there - another Chris!!

So, tell us a little about you!!

What do you want to know? She is beautiful, smart and my neice.

She is working on her Phd and this will be a great break for her after turning in some labor intensive work.

Oh, did I mention..she is also my partner for the drink of the day at Cove Cafe and anyone is welcome to join us. Just ask Hannosmom and Grayfal. We had a good time last cruise.:coffee: :chat: :drinking1

How cool is that!!!!! and she has a lovely name! and you sound like a very proud aunt!
I wish some of my family could have joined me.

PhD is a long, tough road - kudos to her. I look forward to toasting her & her achievements!

We have not heard from the Queen Mum (DizzneyDann) in a while. Is she on vacation or should I say Royal Holiday?

Another thought on this--I don't remember there being anywhere to buy food in the terminal--Gift shops yes, dont remember about food and drinks. Maybe one of the first transatlantic people would remember?

Think the souvenier shop sold coke and snacks but couldnt guarentee that. g though
