What is everyone considering for possible sea sickness? Prescription for the patch or just OTC bonine ? I will be getting something because the only time I have ever been sea sick was on a Celebrity cruise to Bermuda from Baltimore during sea day in the Atlantic. That was not fun!![/QUOTE]

Try getting pure ginger tablets from a health food store.... this worked great for us,and now DCL has gingerale available, I requested it for my drink at dinner.

Meclazine worked for me when the seas were 30 feet on the eb PC cruise. Let's not do that again... I will look for the ginger pills as well. I saw a mythbusters episode where they were investigating motion sickness holistic remedies, and the ginger was the only one they couldn't bust.

We used the bands on the last cruise and did the whole ginger ale thing as well. It definately helps. I think I'm going to see about the patches this time as my sunburn marks look silly from the bands

I'm new around here. I just found out about the DISboards on Friday and joined right away! DH2B and I will be "Bringing Home the Magic" AGAIN! We are in a Cabin 12 Guarantee. I started reading this thread, but on page 16 realized there were over 100 pages! I didn't get to read it all yet. Give me some time!

We were also on the Eastbound PC crossing in 2005. Were you guys the huge group in the bright green t-shirts taking a picture outside Lumiere's? We saw a bunch of your door decorations and loved them! I was jealous I didn't think of bringing decorations.

Perhaps we should try to organize a "Ladies Brunch" - & maybe an Afternoon Tea??? Andrew (UK) (from the 8/08 Panama Canal dis board) - organized a meal (can't remember if dinner, brunch or?) I think for 14 at Palo's.

I don't know if everyone knows this or not, and I apologize if it's already been mentioned as I haven't yet been able to read through the 160+ pages yet, but I thought I'd mention it. If you want the private room in Palo, there is an absolute no-acceptions limit of 14 people due to fire regulations accordin to DCL. DF and I were looking to book the room for the night of our wedding with our families, but we have 17 people total. Just wanted to let you know.

Hey I was on there too! Had just discovered the DIS and was on the outskirts of the group - but I quickly became acclimated! And as you all can see - have just recently celebrated my 1000th post

I remember thinking when I signed on - I can never do that! I would be too embarrassed to talk so much but you know what?

I GOT OVER IT!!!

ugghh, the website is a mess. i have read enough to have expected it but...can not seem to get through my excusions:

palo dinner (gibralter night which was not what i would have wanted but will have to do)

tenefrie - jeep tour (wanted catamaran but it is sold out) - had to take pm as am was booked.

barcelona - montserrat half day

cadiz - seeing seville (really wanted to go to seville so i guess one thing worked out.

Cant wait to meet all the fellow dis people either. It was cool walking around the ship the first time as everyone thinks you are in a secret club.

Mind you we did have a couple talking to us about the scary disney group who live and breathe Disney called Dis something and I went like the group Im in you mean!!!! It was funny.

Lindsay, sounds as if your husband & mine are both great guys!!!
Being upgraded would be fine - but as I'm travelling alone I doubt I will be - what matters is that I'm going!!!!!

I would happily do one of these cruises on my own to be honest as you are so busy and people are so friendly you dont spend long on by yourself anyway. Feel free to tag along with us by the pool etc if you want company. We dont intend to get off the boat this time. LOL.
