Bringing home souvenirs during Covid times!

On our last trip in 2019 we shipped a bunch of stuff home but not everything. We intend on doing the same this year.

How we break it down is by:
will it break? if yes it gets shipped.
Is it clothing? if yes it gets packed
is it something that can be packed easily like a stuffed animal or a bag? If yes then packed
is it something really difficult to pack like a droid or lightsaber? It depends

Basically it is your preference.

Also do ground shipping its cheaper than air shipping.

I always pack a bag like this in my suitcase. It folds down to the size of a wallet but open its fairly large but can count as a carryon if needed

My plan for this trip is for each of us to bring a carry on (there are 4 of us), then check 2 full size pieces of luggage, one with a foldable duffle inside besides toiletries these should be pretty empty. We should be able to fit most or all of our clothes in the carry ons--then dirty clothes will go home in the duffle. Then I have 2 basically empty suitcases and 4 almost empty carry on for the way home.

We carry smaller packable duffels that can be used as carryons. On our trip in December with our granddaughter and family, we ended up buying a hard-sided suitcase from Target. We brought it along for our April trip and it held consumables, coats for the trip back and the duffels. It came back full plus the duffels held the rest.
