Is the new rule, we just cant bring beverages (liquids) on the plane, or does it also apply to food. I'm just talking snacks, like fruit snack, chips, cookies, ect.
THANKS! :sunny:

We were able to bring food on the plane last week.
We took sandwiches, cookies, chips and had no problems. We packed them in our carry on and it went through Xray.

You can bring snacks. You can bring food (within reason). You can now even bring drinks PROVIDED you purchase them after you've gone through security. But check your airline's website for specifics on food.

You may have a problem with food that is partially liquid. Yogart isn't usually allowed and you might have a problem with your fruit cup.

Most food is OK. A few things that are too liquid-like are forbidden. So pudding and jello cups are out. Packets of mustard or salad dressing are out (but mustard and dressing are fine ON the sandwich/salad - go figure).

ohhh this is good news! I was hoping to bring a sandwich on board and wondered about bringing along condiments. Guess we'll just put them on the sandwich ahead of time.

As was mentioned above, you CAN bring drinks on board, as long as you bought them after passing through security! :)

I'm so confused - Can we bring subs on that we purchase from home in our carry-ons? I thought I read on Jetblues website we needed to purchase food and beverages after you pass through security. I would love to buy subs at the deli and just buy drinks at the airport if I could do that. Thanks

You can bring food in through security in your carry-on, subject to the gel-like limitations. Beverages must be purchased after you clear security and may then be carried on the plane. (Apparently, a $3 bottled water you buy at the airport is safer than a $1 bottle of water you buy at the grocery store. :confused3 )
