We watched some people ahead of us in line have 6 cans of beer taken away, but they got to keep their soda and food. Dude looked like he wanted to cry![]()
That shouldn't be any surprise. I don't know of any kind of amusement park, stadium, or performance venue that allows outside alcohol at all.
I did get busted once before a concert. I was there early in the parking lot and I wasn't sure if I could consume alcohol or not as would be legal at a stadium parking lot. So I cracked open a 24 oz can of PBR I bought for less than $2 at a supermarket. I see the cops comes by for their patrol of the lot and I instinctively just put it away. They come by, one cop says she saw me put away something and I honestly say I didn't know the policy but just did it out of instinct. I don't get cited, but she makes me pour it out. Guy in the car next to mine says that he would recommend using a cup or bottle next time.
Now I did look up the law. The parking lot is technically in a city park where it's legal to possess and consume alcohol, but not within 50 feet of the main parking lot for this venue. And the irony is that when I get into the concert venue, they've got 24 oz cans of PBR for sale at $12 each.
