bringing food into Epcot...

We paln to eat at Beaches and Cream and them walk to Espcot from B&C just for Illuminations. I was thinking off getting our desert to go and eating it on the way to Epcot...my question is would we be allowed to take it in with us and eat it while we are watching Illuminations or should I bring a bacpack in and put it in there until we get to our viewing spot for Illuminations. Any suggestions?

I would think you could bring it in. I usually bring a cooler with drinks and snacks in my back pack, so I don't know what that would be any different.
