I am travelling on the Wonder leaving SUNDAY!!!! :cheer2: I am a first-time cruiser so I have a few questions I hope someone can answer!

I just received my tickets and thought it mentioned that you cannot bring drinks on board. I had read previous messages stating that you can as long as you carry them on yourself. What is the policy?

Also, once you check in, can you leave the ship prior to disembarking as long as you get back on in time?

you can carry them on (do not put them in your checked luggage, in case anything busts open) ... they have to be in your carry on luggage (you cannot just walk in with a bottle or six pack in your hand) ... do not put them in an ice chest bigger than the carry on size limits (because it has to go through the security scanner) and if you do put it in an ice chest do NOT put ANY ice in it whatsoever!! :)

I took 4 bottles of wine in my rolling carry on. No problem. I wrapped them in bubble wrap just to be safe. I would be scared to pack them in the luggage though - it can get thrown around a good bit sometimes.

Took a 6 pack of coke on board..Just put in the carry on luggage and you won't have a problem.

We carried ours on in brown paper bags and not in a carry-on. In Key West, several guys carried 3-4 cases of beer on in boxes. HTH

We carry on 6 bottles of wine for each cruise. We have never had any problem. Prices for wine and beer are steep for modest quality. We usually pour a glass and take it to dinner (our small act of defiance). I also bought beer in St. Maarten and brought it aboard without difficulty.

The documents now say you cannot bring drinks??? I thought they just mentioned no coolers.

I am thinking about bringing a "cube" of diet pepsi on board. Do you think there will be any problem with that. Do I have to pack it in my carry-on?

Didn't DCL do away with the prepaid soda? And now soda is avail to all for no charge? That free soda is from fountain though. Are wine glasses avail or should bring cups also for our own wine?

dcannon101.....you should be able to bring it onboard but as others have said it should not be in plain site.

caribegirl....yes, DCL nows has complimentary fountain soda onboard (except at bars). Personally I do not see the need to bring soda onboard unless one is totally dependent on non-coke products! The cabins have standard water glasses but if you ask your room steward he/she should be able to provide you with actual wine glasses!!
