I don't want to overdo it!! How can I stay calm and relaxed and not overload them with Disney??

Amanda

P.S. Neither of us have kids, this is an all adult vacation

Each day you have a basic plan in place what attractions you do want to experience, where and when you would like to eat if you would like to take a couple rest breaks and so on and I almost forgot what park you are going to that day.Plus ser a time and place to meet if your party wants to seperate for a while. This will remove much stress and better than going in park wiyh no plan.Remain flexible and enjoy. :goodvibes :flower: :sunny: :wizard:

I've done this quite a few times, but always with families with kids (which is very stressful for me). Anyway even with adults I recommend being flexible. My Brother and SIL had different ideas on what a vacation should be. Their family couldn't stand to be in a park more than 4 hours. They wanted to just lay by the pool and drink beer and Pina Coladas (not a totally bad thing). I relaxed and didn't get upset about anything changes. I cut out most of our PS's.
Now my SIL and BIL (who have no kids) wanted to do from opening to closing without any breaks (we have 2 smaller kids). They are very money concious and felt this was the way to make every penny count. We would just split up when ready and did our own thing and communicated by phones.

I say have a plan but be prepared to change or split up and roll with the punches.

We're taking a family that's never been before as well (with kids). Hmmm how many days are you going to be there? I suggest MK first of course. I would put together a light and flexible itinerary. Do they like sit down meals? Are they ok with counter service? I suggest one sit down meal a day. That way you're not spending all your time lounging when you could be visiting sites/rides.

If you're going to be there for more than a few days I suggest breaking up the parks. Like visit Adventureland, Frontier Land and Liberty Square in the morning or until your finished. Then head back to your hotel for a swim or head to a resort or other park for dinner and fireworks?

The next day do the other side of the park: Fantasy Land, Toon Town, Tommorow land. Obviously just a suggestion. You can break it up any way you want but that way you're not trying to "do it all" in one day.

You WON'T be able to see it all so prepare them for that. Maybe disccuss before hand some favourites of yours, then divide things into "Must Dos", "Should Dos" and "Nice to Dos". Work your way down your list.

Have a Great Time!!!

Done this more times than I care to count. My advice is this: get them a guidebook and make them help in the planning. DO NOT ALLOW THEM to heap all the planning on you. Since they are adults, they need to give feedback on what they'd like to do and see, and where they'd like to eat. Have a planning meeting, and have them list the things they've read about that sounded interesting and fun to them. I can't stress this enough: get them involved.

See the thing is, I have already planned our entire trip as we are leaving in just about a month. I just convinced them they should go, and my friend is suprising his wife with it. I think I am going to make them up a packet of info that he can give to her on the plane. Thanks for all the great advice though!!
Keep it coming!!
