I know if you bring wine they charge you a corking fee. If we bring beer will they charge us anything for them? How much and what size can we bring? Or where can I find this information on Disney's site?

Thanks!

You can bring up to a six pack on board. I'm pretty sure it's posted somewhere on the DCL site. Oh and that's a six pack at every port stop you are allowed to bring on board.

You can find Disney's policy HERE. You are not charged for any beer brought and consumed on board. The corking fee for wine is charged only if you want to have them open your bottle to be served at a restaurant. If you ask for a cork screw for consumption in your room, there is no charge.

So could I bring two six packs in my carry on? One for me and one for my boyfriend? or do they need to be in separate bags or its one six pack per room?

While the posted policy doesn't specifically say 'per guest' or 'per room' I believe it is per guest. To be safe I would have the six packs in separate bags and then you shouldn't have an issue.

Oh and not sure if you are familiar with their beer mug thing they have but that's a pretty good deal. You pay about $15 for a DCL beer mug and you get larger size for the price of smaller. I was actually surprised at the prices, they were very reasonable. In fact, as I recall, you'd probably pay a little more for a large beer at Outback Steakhouse than you would on the ships.

You can put all your beer in one bag, just be sure that you go through the security line together if there is an issue. I went through with 3 bottles of our total allotment of 4 and was not stopped or asked, but I'm sure they could, so it is better if you can immediately present the other eligible guest.

okay thanks!

You're welcome. Is tomorrow the departure day? You may have already read in other posts but there's a brewery right by the port where you can buy good beer before boarding. Florida Brewing Company I believe is the name.

Thanks for the info about the brewery. I'm going to check out their website.

I doubt if it matters. And if it matters it can be explained. It's like carrying more than one 311 baggie at the airport. Put your whole party's baggies in a bin and you likely won't get questioned, but if you are you can explain.

It's a per guest allotment. Not per room.

The link says that guests 21+ can bring 2 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of beer. That's per guest.

When we carried on our last cruise, I had 12 bottles of beer in my carryon (roll-aboard suitcase). And they actually were 12 bottles from a 24 case (I just sliced the cardboard in half and packed one half), so it wasn't even a sealed 12-pack. I did go through security with my husband but they didn't ask or anything.

We drink our bottled beer in our stateroom and we each have beer mug cards that we use the rest of the evening. A refill is 5.75-7.75 plus 15% auto tip, I think the mug is 20oz. We always exchange the empty mug for a beer card/token... and the card/token we take home and use it on our next cruise.

The corkage fee is assessed if you bring your own personal bottle of wine into the dining room. Just bringing your own wine onboard (to be consumed in your room) there's no corkage fee.

For beer, each person 21 and over can bring onboard 6 beers (12 oz max size). This allotment may be brought onboard on embarkation and from each port of call.

For wine, each person 21 and over can bring 2 bottles (750 ml max size) of wine or champagne. Again, on embarkation and ports of call.
