:lmao:What is this photo pass you speak of?

Some mythical beast of Disney legend? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm glad you got to do toon town rope drop - we have never done that before and it is always so busy so I don't feel like we get to see everything. Maybe I will plan to make a rope drop in May when we go. I'm thinking it will still be there then...

I have no idea when Toon Town is going away, but I'm really glad that we managed to see it at a leisurely pace this trip, before it was crowded. Minnie's house is especially neat if you can get there before the crowds, because her kitchen is interactive...

Awesome pics! One of my regrets about our trip was that we never made a rope drop! It is a goal of mine for out next trip thats forsure!

We had never made a rope drop before our Christmas trip... we just figured we'd rather sleep in & relax on vacation. But MIL wanted a plan at Christmas, and a plan meant a subscription to TGM, which in turn said we had to make rope drop. And even in the crowds, when we made rope drop, we were able to do everything we wanted to do by early afternoon! So we continued that practice through this trip, except for two days.... best tip we've ever learned! ;)

Yay! March 14th is the day we got there. I could not believe how blue the sky was that day! :cloud9:

My goal for this day was to make rope drop in Mickey's ToonTown Fair as well, since it may not be around much longer, and if you miss rope drop, the crowds get crazy fast.

Its so much better to tour Minnie's house when its not too full of little guests!

I love all the sight gags... did you notice the prize-winning "Daisies" have Daisy's face on them?!

I will miss Mickey and Minnie's homes if they go; hopefully the Imagineers will re-purpose them somehow!

Oh, and I am in serious awe... you made rope drop even after losing an hour due to Daylight Savings!! :cheer2: Handled like a true DISer!!

I didn't notice that the daisies have Daisy's face! I'll have to check that out in June if ToonTown is still there!

And... not only did we make rope drop after losing the hour to DST, but we made rope drop after getting up at 2:30am the day before, losing 1 hour in time zone change, and then losing a 2nd hour to DST!!! I'm really proud of that accomplishment, actually. :rotfl:

(From now on, any posts that differ from my normal purple should be assumed to be pre-trip updates for one of the summer trips, ok? :thumbsup2)

June 2010 Pre-trip Update:

No, no, it's nothing as exciting as the wait list coming through, but... I booked our airfare today! For a grand total of $445!!!

I had to get a bit creative to figure it out, though. American had released more seats on flights TO MCO on the date I needed @ $97, but return flights were still around $220. So, first I was just going to book our flights to Orlando, as one-way fares were the same price. :thumbsup2 Then, though, I realized I could use my frequent flier miles for one return flight, so I went ahead and booked DH's ticket as a round-trip ($335 ), then booked myself two one-way tickets - to Orlando with cash (total w/ taxes & fees = $107), and back home with miles (total fee = $2.50!).

We're still hoping to be able to use our AirTran vouchers for the July, and/or for a trip to NYC this summer to see DH's family, but I really didn't want to wait much longer to secure airfare for June, and AirTran didn't have any "voucher availability" for the days we needed... and we're pretty locked in to the June dates, due to the school calendar. We're a bit flexible w/ July, and frankly, if airfare doesn't come through w/ AirTran for that trip, we'll just drive it, and then spend a day at IoA so DH can do the Harry Potter stuff. :thumbsup2

I'll try to get a trip related update up tonight or tomorrow... if people are still reading... ;) :teeth:

I'm here and reading....
We booked airfare for July and October this past weekend, it was good to get it done!

That's great! I'd love to just go ahead and book airfare for July, but I have to give AirTran a chance to come through... I don't really WANT to drive it again, but I'll do it if I have to... based on current flight prices, it would save us ~$100 to drive... and that's quite a bit of souvie money. ;)

I am waiting to find out how much fun you have using the AirTran vouchers.....:scared1:

Marc was pretty happy with our AirTran fares in July and that's saying alot... We got nonstop out of Wichita! Plus a decent price! We did have to add a day to the start and end of the trip.... oh I hate it when that happens.....;)

I'm sure it's going to be LOTS of fun.

Our July trip is already 6 nights, but it includes 2 weekend nights... I wouldn't mind adding a day or two at either end for better airfare! Nonstop out of Wichita?!?! That's awesome!!! You must be thrilled!

Yep I am still here and waiting to get my plane tickets for July - not sure what I am waiting for - maybe a price decrease - yeah right!:rotfl:

Yes, still reading, :surfweb: and waiting! popcorn::

More coming up soon! :)

We're waiting because... well... we have those AirTran vouchers from this trip, and we may have some other rather large expenses coming up in the next few months, so if we can save some money on airfare by using the vouchers, we really need to. Hoping AirTran comes through on this one.
