Hi everyone,

Don't think this is possible and/or polite, but I wanted to ask you anyway:D
My boyfriend and I only drink sodas and are planning to buy some refillable mugs at AKL. Can we bring those filled to Boma?
Or do we have to pay for some new sodas, if we want to drink something at dinner?
Thanks again everyone:wave2:

I dont know whether its allowed or not, and as much as Id like to do it, I think Id feel funny. Being Disney, they would probably allow it at most places I would guess.
However since you are talking about Boma, I believe sodas are including in the price there, so you may not need to bring it at all.

I didn't know that CamColt, that sodas are included at Boma.
So I don't need to bring my mug after all:D
Ofcourse we wouldn't mind to buy some sodas when we are having diner there. But sometimes you get some funny ideas planning a WDWvacation.
Greetings from a sunny Amsterdam!:sunny:

Im not 100% sure about that, but usually at the all you can eat meals, with 1 set price, a nonalcoholic beverage is included, so Im guessing Boma follows suit. Hope so!
Not a funny idea at all. Its actually a good one if its allowed. Sodas can be expensive. :D
And a hello to you from the USA!

This really is funny:teeth:
Does this mean that you as a moderator have never spotted this idea before?
It's a real Dutch idea isn't it?

Actually If I remember correctly someone was asking about that within the past couple months, whether it was tacky or not. I think most opinions gave them a thumbs up to go for it. :D

You can allways try...
But I don't really know if I would be comfortable with doing it.

*BLUSH*...that was my post a while back. My dh and I brought our full POR mugs into Boatwright's at breakfast. Our waitress asked us if we wanted coffee, and I pointed to the mugs. She said it was fine to have them, but she couldn't re-fill them. I was afraid that maybe it was tacky of us to do it, but she said it was fine.

I didn't see anyone else do it, though. Maybe we started a trend??:p :p

I personally wouldn't do it...IMO, it's tacky.

but - if the restaurant allows it - go nuts!

A non-alcholic non-specialty drink is included in the price per All Ears Net.

But I think you can only get the refillable mugs filled at certain places. I know one of the complaints about the BW is that they will only refill them at the Bakery.

last year i stayed at the AKL and when we purchased our mugs at the Mara they told us that they could only be refilled at the Mara. We also ate breakfast a few days at Boma and the drinks were included in the buffet price. Have a fun trip

I have personal experience with this. LOL!

I brought my Mara mug to dinner with me at Boma, only for the express purpose of filling it up at The Mara after dinner. The server noticed my Mara mug and offered to fill it for me while I was eating dinner.

I thought that was nice service, completely unexpected.

We were just at AKL a couple of weeks ago and I was very surprised to see the exact same design on the refillable mugs as the ones we had gotten approximately 3 years ago. I bought 4 more this time, but it was a waste in our case since we only stayed at the AKL 2 nights before moving to BWV and did not use the mugs anymore.

We did this at Boatwrights but filled it up before going into the restaurant and did not ask for a refill in Boatwrights.

Slightly OT, but here's a variation on your question. On one of our trips a couple of years ago, we had a couple of CMs with us for dinner at Kona. One CM (an avid beer drinker) pointed out that beer was cheaper across the way at the convenience store(Trader Jack's?). We bought several beers and took them to Kona to enjoy with dinner. Tacky? I thought so, but they were the Disney folks who seemed to think it would be ok. No problem.
Our server asked where we bought them because she knew they didn't have that brand at Kona, but she was very cool about it.
:earsboy: Yes we tipped extra because she missed out on the drink prices on our tab.
