Bring us a Shrubbery!! May 25-June 1, 2007!!

Abso-ma-lutely! I have a packing list, but that's about it. I remembered to put the paperwork on the list - does that count?

I look at it like this: if you remembered to even make a list, it counts! ;)

Thanks for sharing the info about Ghiradelli; I'm on my way to get choco mail. I'm glad you made it thorough the test.
I have lurked on all of your other trip reports. I don't post too much, but I wanted to thank you for sharing. I can't wait to hear all about this trip; I'm sure you guys will have a great time.

Hi Melissa! :wave2: I remember seeing you post on the argie-bargie fairly early on and then I didn't see you again. I'm glad to know that I didn't post something to make you run screaming from the thread. Thanks for letting me know you're still here. :goodvibes

Go forth and enjoy the goodness that is Ghiradelli... yum! :thumbsup2

And thanks for the good wishes - I'll try to take extra good pictures and notes on this trip so that I can share as much as possible with everyone. :goodvibes

Weight loss is the only silver lining when it comes to being sick or having to go through something traumatic or a crumby procedure. ;) How long until you get the results?

I did get some preliminary results on Monday; I go back for two different appointments next Tuesday and Wednesday for additional results from a couple of different tests. After that, no matter what they tell me, it can all wait until we get back! :thumbsup2

The planning is coming along. Like the rest of us, I could plan until forever! I love it so much. :goodvibes

Sometimes I think I enjoy the planning as much as the actual trip. My hubby thinks I'm nuts but even he will admit that it makes for a much smoother vacation experience when we know all there is to know before we leave for the World.

Hey Brenda! Glad to see you're back, and I hope you're feeling okay!

Thanks, Lori! I'm feeling much better today than I was over the weekend and even yesterday. :thumbsup2

Mmmmmmm, chocolate. Must sign up for Ghiradelli choco-mail . . .

Yes....sign up for the choco-mail!!! I'm waiting for them to get the recipe section of their website up and kicking, but in the meantime I'll take a 20% discount on some smooth, chocolate-y goodness!

Ooh I'll try that, when we were there they were giving free samples which were lovely but as it was so hot we didn't buy anything as it would just be melted straight away, have to buy at night time :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Hi Jo!! I agree completely - you have to be so careful about buying anything from the store because of the weather. Even when we were there in October there were a few days when the temperatures were in the 90s and we had to go back in the evenings to buy the stuff we wanted to ensure that it wouldn't melt.

I'm sure we'll have to do some strategic buying next week, too.

Great idea! Another thing to put on my to-do list...

At least it's an easy thing to do! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip about Ghiradelli! mmm... chocolate...

It's so good - I wish I was eating it right now. ;)

If anyone is looking for other tips like this, mousesavers.com has a bunch. That is where I found orlandocoupons.com where you can print out free coupons for some of the restaurants at Downtown Disney. I haven't tried it yet but I'm thinking about it for our trip in November.

Thanks for the tip - I'll have to go check that out.

And may I just say...join me in the single-digit dance!!! 9 days to go!!

Thank you for sharing your chocolate  with us! And good luck with the
other tests! Did you study? :teeth: Sorry. No, I'm not. :rolleyes1

Eight days! This time next week I'll be printing out those Southwest boarding passes, I'll be trying to think of a good excuse to sneak out of work early, I'll be worrying about all the packing that remains to be done.

Ahhhh, good times! ;)

And...the extended forecast looks promising so far; the inner lizard is pleased by the prospect of sun and warmth - I just need a flat rock to spread out on for a couple of days. :lmao:

Sounds wonderful! It's rainy and cold and miserable here, so I said to my husband last night "This would have been a good week to be in Florida!" And his deadpan reply, "You always think it's a good week to be in Florida." :rotfl2: He knows me so well!:thumbsup2

Caught up! I'm so glad I got here before you left!
Ghiradelli's....hmmmm (drool drips slowly) Trying to do Homer...not very well. We have their chocolate at our coffe shop, but it's not the same, no, not the same.
Hope you have good results on your tests! Weight loss before vacation is a very good thing. It makes more room for strange and exotic vacation food. :thumbsup2

Or, you can just eat it all :rotfl:

How about using the excuse that you have yet another doctors appointment?? (can you tell I use those often??) :thumbsup2

Every week is a good week to go to Florida! :thumbsup2 Hope your weather clears up soon...sheesh, next weekend is Memorial Day Weekend already. Where's the warm??? :confused3

Hi Lynn! Thanks for dropping by. I don't know what it is, but Ghiradelli just tastes better at the store...on vacation...not here. ;)

Thank you very much and I hope you feel better soon yourself!

I thought about it but I don't want to jinx myself. And I don't want to leave my co-workers in the lurch - we're all busy enough as it is. :sad2:

I have decided that during this trip Jay and I will be on the lookout for Roger the Shrubber. He arranges, designs, and sells shrubberies so I have a feeling that we may find him at Epcot. :rotfl2:

Eight days? :faint: Wow, I would be dancing like a cartoon banana too!

What a nice reprieve from the tests and stuff! :goodvibes

A shrubber did you say?

I tried to show a friend of mine at work today my version of the single-digit dance... once she picked herself up off the floor (hysterical laughter does that to some people) she tried to call our Human Resources Help-Line to have me committed to a mental institution...:rotfl2:

Hey, it's good to see you again! Hope all is well over there in Ohio. :goodvibes Don't you have a trip coming up soon?

I work in a psych hospital! I can get you a discounted rate! :lmao:

Excellent!

Do I have the option of being calmly admitted and shown to my room or being dragged off kicking and screaming? It's these kinds of small details that I find most important, and I like having options. ;)

Yup! We're leaving in 4 weeks...June 15. I'm soooo jealous of your trip! I really need a break from work. Ah well....It'll be here soon enough!

Sorry I haven't posted lately...I HAVE been keeping up with it, but things have been crazy with 2 little kids and a pregnant wife, plus crazy at work.

Best of luck with your test results. Hopefully you can have a stress-free trip. Looking forward to more updates!

A 5 of Haldol and 2 of Ativan will stop the kicking and screaming and take you into a calm blur. :thumbsup2

Oh....and an oldie but a goodie:

"oooo! They have the internet on computers now!"

And, they ALSO have internet hookups in all DVC resorts....SO....a mid-trip report would definitely be POSSIBLE, and I don't think anyone here is going to complain, especially if there's anything news-worthy goin on down there! :rotfl:

Good for you - you are going to have a great trip. :thumbsup2 And if you decide to write a trip report I'll be one of the first in line to subscribe. :goodvibes

No apologies necessary. I have a really scary memory and I notice when people stop posting and then I worry that: a) something terrible may have happened; or b) I unintentionally but gloriously crossed an invisible cyber-line of good taste and drove away another reader.

I'm just glad to know that everyone is safe and healthy and that it's just the real life "biz-ees" keeping you from the DIS.

Best of luck with your test results. Hopefully you can have a stress-free trip. Looking forward to more updates!

Thanks very much. Regardless of the results we're going to eat and drink like fools. Think Roman feasting without the vomitorium. :rotfl2:

A calm blur...that sounds nice. I wonder if I could just get some of that every day before I sign on to my computer at work? ;)

All joking aside for a moment - I can't even imagine how difficult your work environment must be at times. Puts all that corporate snarking I deal with every day in real perspective. :thumbsup2

You don't mean to suggest that I should try to update mid-vacation, do you? Jay would kill me. :lmao:

That's what I was saying...and my wife would do the same! :rotfl:

Askin a little advice...no one I know personally has been to Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch (I know! "That's un-possible!" - Ralph Wiggum) We have an ADR there. Ever been? Any suggestions?
