I thought I'd get in on this whole "start-a-trip-report-before-you-even-actually-go-on-a-trip" craze that seems to be sweeping the DIS these days.

To make it even more fun, I'm still in the middle of trying to finish my last trip report. And we're entering the Death March phase at work. And I'm thinking of switching jobs. And there's a Harry Potter book being released this summer. Oh, and we're taking another trip to WDW in October of this year so I think if I haven't gone completely off the deep end (I usually just totter on the edge) I may end up having to do another report then.

I need a drink. ;)

Here's a quick run-down of our plans with more detailed details to come! You'll notice at this point that all we really know is where we're eating! :lmao: We're not on the dining plan but we do have the DDE card, so we should be able to get some good discounts. Sooner or later we'll figure out which parks we're going to and when - definitely looking forward to checking out the Flower and Garden Festival. Jason is garden-guy...he has green thumbs, fingers, and toes. Me, not so much. I like flowers and trees and topiaries and such, I'm just no good at keeping them alive. ;)

Friday, May 25th: Arrive at Saratoga Springs, but this time we have a grocery store stop planned! We learned something on our last visit (good for us!). No theme parks planned for today - we're relaxing at the pool and having dinner at Raglan Road.

Saturday, May 26th: The only thing I know is that we're having dinner at Jiko. And then I think we may end up at the Adventurers Club.

Sunday, May 27th: Gospel Brunch at House of Blues and dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room where I think we're going to try the tasting menu. Tonight is EMH at the Magic Kingdom so I think we're going to have to play in the MK after dark!

Monday, May 28th: Breakfast at the Kona (Jay must have his tonga toast) and dinner at Blue Zoo.

Tuesday, May 29th: Happy Anniversary to us!! We're celebrating at the Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's, which means no food all day until 6PM! I think to take our minds off the fasting I will schedule some spa treatments at SSR's spa. There's no better time than now to give it a try!

Wednesday, May 30th: Dinner at California Grill...yummy yummy yummy!

Thursday, May 31st: Dinner at Rose & Crown, always one of our favorite ways to close out a visit to WDW.

Friday, June 1st: Departure....:charac2: but we'll back before we know it! :thumbsup2

Thanks for taking the time to stop in. Feel free to leave a suggestion or offer advice or even criticism should you feel the need. Most of the time you'll find me in a humorous mood, so join the fun!

Heheheh. You've been assimilated here, too? I thought I was nuts for
posting my pre-trippie. Wait. I am nuts. Nevermind. :rolleyes1

You're dining at places I've either enjoyed very much OR have on my "must
try on my next trip". And I didn't fast before my Chef's Table experience.
I had a little something to nosh on early in the day. :)

Oh, and I love the title of this report. Will the October trip be titled,
"Bring out yer dead! - I'm not quite dead yet!"?

It's too true...I've joined the collective. The next thing you know I'll be wandering around saying things like, "Individuality is irrelevant." ;)

Knowing that we're hitting some places you've already tried or want to try makes me feel a little better about some of our choices. It was hard to break out of our dining comfort zone, but it had to happen sooner or later. You probably noticed we left a few tried-and-trues in there.

And you make a great point about not starving ourselves before the CT - I'm sure we'll snack a bit earlier in the day...I should probably think about getting us somewhere for a decent breakfast...

I had a feeling you'd like the Phython reference! Can't think about a title for October just yet, but I do have one for a possible dining report for May. What do you think of "The Food was not Undelicious?" It's another Simpsons reference...sheeesh, it's like a disease.

Thanks for checking in! :goodvibes

Brenda, I'm here!! We will just miss each other! We will be at VWL May 13-20 for my birthday :cheer2: WooHoo!! I want to start a pretrip report but I don't think I have enough whit in me to last 52 days. Maybe. We'll see. For now I am going to sit back and feed off of yours. Like the sucker fish that sticks to the wall of my tank and cleans the algea... suck, suck,, suck,,, :fish: Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. Oh sorry. Daydreamin' again. Woo hoo!! Another trip-buddy! Thanks for stopping by and happy early birthday. Too bad that we're going to miss each other, it would be nice to finally meet some of you fine people face to face.

I say you should definitely start a trippie. You obviously have a good command of the English language and grammar and usage don't seem to be giving you a problem - those are the things I look for initially before getting too deep into a trippie. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I decipher stuff all day at work, I don't want to do it here, too. ;)

And I think the posts I've read from you are quite amusing - with your family gathering how could you not write a trippie? C'mon, you know you want to!

In the meantime, feel free to plan away on this thread if you'd like. The more the merrier! :thumbsup2

Thanks again for posting!

Anniversary breakfast...

just a ramble before I really start getting some work done (I swear I will!).

I was thinking of a character breakfast for this day, but the more I think about it the more I think we should just make ourselves a romantic breakie in the villa. Some cafe au lait, mimosas, and croissants on the balcony sound pretty good to me... and quiet and relaxing, too.

What do you guys think?

Let's see.... romantic breakfast in the room/bed... hmmm.... spa treatments in the afternoon.... and dinner at the Chef's Table.... :cloud9:

That's about perfect, Brenda! :thumbsup2

Happy Planning!

P.S. I totally respect planning your WDW vacation around FOOD. You certainly have your priorities in order! ::yes:: You guys are going to have a GREAT time!!!

I think having breakfast is a good idea. The breakfast in the room you
mentioned sounds great. :)

Hmm, if I was going to use a Simpsons reference for October, it would have
to center around:

"Whenever my faith in God is shaken, I think of the miracle of anti-freeze."

You know I'll be here B!!!:surfweb:

I saw the shrubbery title :rotfl2: and I had to read your pre-trip report. DH and I recently went to see Spamalot on Broadway and I decided that it would be wise to do a quick refresher course on Monty Python, not anticipating how amusing my 3 little boys (excluding DH - he'd be the 4th little boy) would find it. As if it's not already bad enough being constantly surrounded by boys, I am now surrounded by boys quoting from Monty Python!!

They are amusing when they do it - especially when they running screaming from the room when I say certain words that must not be said. Fortunately, the British accents in the movie are so thick that they couldn't understand any of the truly inappropriate parts of the movie (inappropriate for boys aged 10 and under, that is), and have chosen to focus on Knights of Ni, shrubberies, swallows, and coconuts.

Life in my house is quite amusing!! :rotfl: I look forward to reading all about your trip!

Hi Michelle! I think I agree with you - my plan for 5/29 is just about perfect. :thumbsup2

I can't wait for that chef's table - your review and pics and video do a great job of providing me with a pre-trip fix when I really need it.

Excellent - two thumbs up for breakfast in the room!

I will take that Simpsons quote under advisement - :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Your title is the best, though. There's just no way to top Larded and Loaded!

You know I'll be here B!!!:surfweb:

Thanks Nancy!

Be sure to let me know if you need me to pick anything up for you while we're there.

And thanks for reading...I feel like I need to start paying you for reading all my stuff! :lmao:

Thanks for stopping in to read and post! I think life in your house sounds like a lot of fun - you can't go wrong with kids that like Monty Python!!

Did you like Spamalot? We had a chance to see it here in November and we really enjoyed it - very cleverly done.

We loved Spamalot! It was very funny! I thought that the parts they added fit perfectly with the story's translation to the stage. When the boys are a little bit older, I might consider taking them to see it!

We now demand... ANOTHER SHRUBBERY!

Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle. ("A path! A path!") Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest... with... a herring!”

*cough* Oh my. I need help.

Um, ANYWAY. I was doing the totally UN-nerdy thing of laying around reading my Passporter Treasure Hunt book today, and one of the questions is:

"What is the motto of Plankton's Seaside Yacht Repairs?"

It's located somewhere on Pleasure Island. If you get a photo of Plankton next to whatever this thing advertising Plankton's Repairs is, I will buy you a Kungaloosh, or various other beverage!

WDW Poly Princess - You are now the princess to my boys since you quote Monty Python!! But not only that - you know about SpongeBob and Plankton. You have gained great favor in our household!!

O Knights of Ni, you are just and fair, and we will find you a shrubbery.

Couldn't resist that title! :thumbsup2

New TR-reader here - sounds like a great start! Nothin' wrong at all by starting with the food. Isn't that the most important part of the trip?

Looking forward to more...

yahooo..i am double fisting Brenda Trip reports!!! :cool1: Does that mean i get to have double the fun..oh i think so.
Thanks for joining the masses and pre-trippin'..i think i may dip my toe into this pool of creativity soon... :goodvibes

I will post a picture of our Plankton this weekend - he is our official vacation mascot and is constantly plotting various ways to overthrow the Mouse and take over WDW.

Also, can you stop doing this? I get there on June 7th! We keep missing by days! :guilty:

D'OH! :headache:

Thanks so much for posting, PrincessV! Although I fear now that I will be "Ni-ing" for the rest of the day, much to the horror of my co-workers. Oh, well, it's not fun if I'm not doing something to annoy them. ;)

Hi, MApigletfan - haven't seen you around lately...everything OK up there on the East coast? I definitely think you should consider a trippie of your own.

And just so you know - when I get to the appropriate day in my current report, I will have lots of pictures of the Steam Train Tour to give you an idea of what's involved in it before you do the nice thing and book it for your DBF.

Thanks everyone for your comments - back to work I go...at least it's Friday afternoon! :thumbsup2
