I was planning to buy some mickey ears from the disney store, since they are on sale, and get them embordiered at the parks. Then a friend mentioned that maybe that wasn't possible? Do I need a reciept to do this? My friend bought some ears on ebay that they no longer carry, can she get them embrodierd as well?

Thanks!

If I recall correctly, you do need to show your receipt to get them embroidered. But that's basically to keep people from shoplifting in one location and then getting free embroidery in another.

I'm not sure whether the eBay scenario would work. Maybe bring your eBay ears, but don't have any expectations either way.

Thats what my friend pointed out, that it could be shoplifted. Ebay reciept may work as well, especially since I think they are ears they don't have around any more. Wonder if anyone on here can confirm they did that...

At one time the policy was they could only embroider ears they had in stock so that they could be replaced if an error occurred with the embroidery

I did it with ears my daughter was given as a gift and didn't have any issue

I saw somewhere that someone took a white sharpie or fabric paint pen and had the characters sign the hat. It looked really cool.
