Well we left the world yesterday and are enjoying beautiful Clearwater Beach now. Deluxe dining was an experience and we had fantastic food. It was way more food than I could ever eat and we were struggling with the snack credits in the end :lmao:, but it was a terrific experience. I have a ton of sweets to eat as we brought 13 snacks with us to Clearwater :lmao: I took many photos of the food and cannot wait to start my dining review. I will be swinging back by the CSR tomorrow as I forgot to pick up my resort delivery from DHS, OOPS! The CM on the phone told me it was no problem, so I am secretly excited about stopping back by there tomorrow and will probably grab a few more snacks for the road!

Can't wait to read your dining review. Have a good time in Clearwater.

We arrived at the beautiful CSR on Tueday May 18th and decided to go to downtown Disney for lunch. We decided on Ragland Road as we love pub grub and loved Cookes of Dublin from our trip last year. We walked right in and were seated. This place is really amazing inside and this turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. Here is a picture of the inside bar area.

Our friendly waiter brought us some fresh soda bread with a Guiness Oil mixture

Of course with deluxe we both had appetizers, and oh my where these yummy and super huge! I chose the scallops which were soooo good :thumbsup2 They were so juicy and not greasy at all. There goes my normal healthy diet out the window :lmao:

DSC05515.jpg

My DH chose the sausages for his appetizer. There were so many of them and there was not way he could eat all of those. I had one and it was very authentic.

DSC05517.jpg

On to the entrees, I ordered the shepherds pie. I loved the presentation and it was good, but a little on the dry side. I wasn't able to eat much from having the appetizer beforehand.

My DH had the fish and chips which was the perfect portion SMALL! After the sausages who needs a huge portion. It was great and again very authentic. We have been to England many times and found the food here to be just as good as the pub food in the UK.

Coming up Ragland Road Desserts and Pavlova Heaven:wizard:

Great start. I can't wait to read the rest. The first meal at Raglan looks great.

The Pavlova Dessert was excellent. My DH ordered it and I had the boring but healthy fruit plate. I took mine back to the room and had a little bit of the Pavlova.

Final thoughts on Raglin Road. We loved the atmosphere and the food overall was very good. I would give this restaurant a 9 out 10 rating!

Up next Narcoossees :)

I LOVE your title. We always get Deluxe Dining and that is exactly how I feel. For some reason we struggle with the snacks and always end up bringing Mickey rice krispie treats home for my friends children. We are heading back the end of September, so I made reservations for CRT and the Luau (hoping to use up our credits). Two years ago we left with 4 meal credits left on our card. Ugh! Not this year!

Can't wait to read your report. We are trying some new places to eat this year. Hopefully it's some of the places you are going to review! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Fantastic photos of Raglan Road, don't get shepherds pie served like that in our house though!!!

always rule RR and Rose and Crown out when we go to WDW as they are too normal for us but it does look scrumptious.

I can relate as coming from Texas the last thing I want while in Florida is Mexican food, we are surronded by it here.

Total cost for Raglan Road

2 iced teas $4.50
1 Sausage app $10.00
1 Scallop app $13.00
1 Shep Pie $15.00
1 Fish & Chip $16.00
1 Dundons Delight $7.99
1 Fruit Platter $7.99

Total with Tax $79.33 (An excellent dining plan purchase!)

Great review ! :goodvibes

Every time I see those scallops and sausages from Raglan Road, I always imagine that someone must have been really mad at the dishwasher when they thought up that presentation ! :lmao:

Mark is a HUGE fruit lover...and he drooled when he saw that fruit plate. :)

So for dinner that first night we had a 7:35 ressie for Narccossees. This was our first ever signature dining experience and I was so excited. We had to ask for directions when we arrived at the GF as I had no idea where it was located. We were seated within a minute of arrival. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and everyone was super friendly. It had a very upscale vibe to it. The wanted to seat us next to the bar but when I saw window seats available I asked if we could have one and we were seated right by the window. I had a perfect view of the castle.

Our waitress offered to take our photo which was really sweet!

I ordered a passion fruit mojito that was perfection! We each ordered ice tea as well. Since I was celebrating my birthday this trip they had a special bday menu for me! The bread was very good and loved the Hawaiian sea salt on top of the butter.

Now onto the appetizers, we were still in shock that we each get one! How in the world were we going to consume all this food :rotfl2: I chose the cheese platter. I thought it was very nice, my DH didn't care for it. I did though! He had the calamari which we both thought was very good.

For our dinner entrees we both ordered the whole maine lobster. I loved mine, but have to admit it was pretty tough and very chewy. My DH hated his and could not eat it as his had a very fishy odor to it. The potatoes were fantastic as well as the broccoli.

We did notice the service was very slow as this restaurant. We weren't in a hurry, but gosh we don't need to drag it out all night long either. It was now dark outside and the ambiance was very nice!

DSC05552.jpg

Now onto the dessert, I had the almond cheesecake (OMG so good!) and my DH had a dish of chocolate gelato. Wishes was also on during the desserts which was very nice.

Overall Narccoosses was a very nice experience, however due to the lobster not being so great and the slow service I would give it a 6 out of 10. However the almond cheesecake was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Narccoosees is one of the best deals on the deluxe plan and I will post our itemized bill shortly.

Great reviews! I couldn't believe you didn't have the bread pudding at Raglan Road, but I think you might have needed a shot of insulin afterward. ;)

I only ate at Narcoosee's once, nearly 10 years ago, and I wasn't impressed by my meal. I really needed to give it another chance, hopefully with better service than you received. I was happy to see Humboldt Fog on your cheese plate. :cloud9:

Here is a what we spent at Narccoosses

Cheese Plate $15.00
Calamari $13.00
Lobster $59.00 X 2
Almond CC $9.00
Gelato $8.00

The waitress did not add the iced teas.

Total for dining plan $171.46

Not too bad for the deluxe plan!

Great review of Narcoosees :thumbsup2
I'm really keen to try this place on our next trip

The next morning we made it over to AK just in time for our Tusker House breakfast at 8:35. We waited a few minutes for our picture with Donald and then made our way into the restaurant. I loved the theme and the breakfast selections were wonderful. Everything was fresh and hot! We were seated off in a smaller room which was away from all the chaos of the main room. The guava juice they serve is so good! We had eggs, sausage, fruit, frittata, waffles, and my DH had some of the Krispy Kreme donuts. We really enjoyed the breakfast and would return for sure. I didn't take pictures really as it was a buffet, but here are a few that I did take.

Total Cost for Breakfast $44.71

I would rate this breakfast a 9 out of 10! Great job Donald and the gang ;)

Joining in. We love Tusker House breakfast too...its a must for my family with ever Disney trip. Can't wait to read about Yachtmans (I'm going back and forth with this on our next trip)
