We have a Maclaren Quest (55lb limit). We don't have a stroller cover/case thing for the airplane.

Should we bring that to WDW or rent a City Mini for $70 (50 lb limit)

We've never taken a stroller on a plane. I was thinking we'd gate check it. Dd is 5 1/2, 45 lbs.

Any worries of people taking personal strollers?

I wonder what will be easier to push. Of course cost and convenience are a factor, as is how hard it is take it the stroller with us)

Thanks!!

ETA: I'll be in an ECV and dh will push either her or the stroller alone. Dh's 5'11.

is there a difference btwn Orlando Stroller Rental and Magic Strollers? Other than the price, they both seem to be City Mini's

ETA - looks like Magic Strollers is $50.29 - i'm assuming free delivery/pick up, but emailed them

We've taken our Mac Quest twice now without any problems. We've gate checked it on the plane without experiencing any damage. It has been perfect at DW. It collapses so easily for bus rides. The roads/paths at Disney are very, very smooth and we've had absolutely no problem pushing the Quest. It is much easier than pushing it on our sidewalks at home (where we prefer our full size stroller with air tires). The Quest recline was more than adequate for our older daughter at Disney (we take a fully reclining stroller for the baby but I look forward to the day she can move to the Quest for Disney).

I actually think the Mac Quest is a perfect Disney stroller and I wouldn't want anything more cumbersome. The only extra I bring is a Ray Shade to extend the sun canopy on very sunny days.

Thanks! I have a Ray Shade :)

Do you have a bag for the Quest? Do I need one?

I do have a nylon bag, but I haven't bothered to use it when gate checking. I collapse the stroller myself at the plane door. It hasn't been damaged or broken. We've used it on 2 trips and my brother borrowed it once -- so it has been gate checked 6 times with no bag and no problem.

If you like your Quest and your child likes it, I wouldn't bother renting a stroller.

We also have a Quest that we used on our last two visits to WDW. It has held up great and we haven't had any problems. We also gate checked it without any problems (Southwest). My husband can collapse it with one hand!...which works great with bus transportation. It turns on a dime, so it's great on the monorail and in the parks. I recommend getting either a parasol (umbrella) or an extension to the brim for added shade (sold at Babies R Us). Have fun!
