Why not mail a bix to yourself before you arrive?
Have the box arrive 2 -3 days before you. Write on the
box your name, registered address, your arrvial date at the
resort and your ressie # if you wish. Note on the box to
please hold till your arrival.
I have sent a box to the Dolphin and CR with out any problems.
I mail cereal, cookies, GUM, fruit snacks (gummies), tuna,
small mayo in plastic container, a sharp metal knife and can opener I plan to ditch at the end of our stay, plastic bowls and spoons.
We do a food shop on the way to the resort and buy a throw
away foam cooler and some other food items (fruit, donuts, chips).
We have always had breakfast and 2 dinners (tuna) in the
room. We buy milk at the resort the night before and keep in
cold in the foam cooler with ice.
At the Dolphin, Tubbies sells milk by the quart.
At the CR, Fantasia also sold milk by the quart.
I assume all resorts sell milk by the quart in their
eatery or gift shop.
We do attend one special character breakfast, one of the dinner shows (did HDD and Spirit of Aloha) and lunches in sit-down restaurants. Dinners are usually burgers, chicken or pizza.
Lunches out are less expensive.
On the side - we budget $150/day for food.
That is a DH, DW, DS (age 11) and DD (age 8).
Some days cost more, some days less. It works out
at the end of the week.
