No more Zippedy Do Dah Tips for the Day

Sorry, Kryssa, I just do not like the 7 Top & Must See's or Don't Misses, or whatever you were calling them. And the fact that the Top 7 Must See's or Don't Misses was almost all that was on did not help. I can watch the show once, maybe twice, but not all day.
Its entirely too commercially and fake for my liking. (I know, I know, where the heck do I think I am???)
I felt like I was watching something from MTV or something.
I understand the taget audience must all be teens or something, from the lingo she was using, but I just did not like it.

BRING BACK THE OLD STUFF!!!

I agree. She came across as an annoying version of Samantha Brown. The first time I watched it was okay, after that it grated on my nerves.

I HATE that new channel. They tried to make it like a clone of the Travel Channel. The host is so annoying skipping around the parks with her mouth open and squealing! We loved the old version with the Tip for Today.

Ahhhhhh! They took away the Disney Resort Channel? No "TIP FOR TODAY"?!

Maybe Disney could put it out on DVD or something.

www.live365.com and do a search for Park Hopper radio...you have to register, but its free for the basic stuff...Tip for Today is on there!!

I am really dissapointed with this "show" replacement-my son (4) and I used to sing Zippity Doo dah, here's your tip for today!!! My husband won't even let me turn on that channel when we are at "The World" because he has expressed his extreme dislike of the host. We also miss the Park Hopper guy (know affectionately as "Park Hopper Dude" in our house)-my son loves him-I even put a picture of Park Hopper Dude up in DS's room. BRING BACK PARK HOPPER DUDE AND THE TIPS FOR TODAY!!!!

I actually sent an email to WDW complaining about this. I used to be addicted to that silly resort tour channel! I played it from check-in to check-out constantly. I've been staying on site every year since I was 9 months old, and they've had a resort tour on TV for as long as I can remember.

I just can't understand why they'd replace a tour of the entire resort with just the top 7 things.

I totally agree with copying the Travel Channel, and totally think it *does not* work!

I miss the Fast Pass segment myself. It was so corney, but I loved it. I saw a new one -- YUCK-O!

I agree! The replacement program is awful. The first time that I saw it, I thought that the host was trying very unsuccessfully to imitate Samantha Brown on the TC. They need to get a replacement for the replacement! Or maybe have Samantha Brown do it!!

When I was at the world in November, I was with my mom who was a first timer. Right after we went "OHHHHH there are animals out our balcony!" I went to put on the "tip for the day". It wasn't there! I was heartbroken! I searched to no avail.... then went on to explain what it was that I was looking for, and how much it meant to my family to hear it whenever we were in the room! I sincerely wish that Disney would bring it back!

Wow, tough crowd in here.

Personally, I don't think the new show is bad in and of itself. It's just like a Travel Channel special. The host is doing exactly what she's directed to do--try to get people excited about WDW, show how much fun it is, and highlight key attractions in the world(including some not-so-well-known activities). I enjoyed watching it all the way through once.

My problem is that this show doesn't justify taking an entire TV channel for 24/7. Maybe they could have kept the Tip for the Day, and run this show every other hour or so. That would have made more sense and really provide useful and interesting information to resort guests. Guests would be able to see the helpful tips for the day, and be entertained by the new show.

Just my $.02.

Oh no! I can't believe they "changed THE CHANNEL!" I was at CSR two years ago and was 10 weeks pregnant. I felt so sick I spent most of my time in front of the TV watching this channel. I liked watching all the happy, healthy people doing all the things that would make me throw up. Lets hope when I get there in February, the new show isn't as bad as people are saying! :-(

Oh my heart is broken!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Disneyindebt I was sixteen weeks pregnant last xmas. It was so comforting being able to listen to that beeping sound at the end of the singing part. I just can't believe it.
Well, here is just another thing to take away from that feeling of Disney magic for me!!!

Oh no, we were there last Oct and I love that channel. My kids thought it was a hoot! I'll have to wait and pass judgement on the new but I loved tip of the day.

I think the new 7 top attractions was a cute segment, but like Armadillo4 said, playing it over and over 24/7 is annoying and a waste of air time. I think that little show should be one of many playing in a loop. Play some of the old ones along with the new...just take out the old footage no longer accurate.

Call us weird, but we taped all those channels when we where there last January. I have 6 tapes with each being about 4-6 hours long. I love popping them in now and then. My girls get a kick out of it. It's sad that they took them away. They could have left one channel.

Oh well, maybe I will have to tape the new ones.
