Bring back the good o' days, Things ..........

I'm sorry I don't remember that one. I do remember The Greatest American Hero though. Does anyopne remember a show called Matthew Star? I was just in love with him (can't remember his real name though) but no one remembers it.

Thank you...that was driving me crazy after Mr. Terrific reminded me of that show. I just could not remember the name of "The Greatest American Hero", but I watched every time it was on.

I watched Zoom when I was little and I can still remember the song at the end...write Zoom...Z double o m..box 305 Boston Mass...02134..send it to Zoom. It came out again a few years ago and they had the same address! I could not believe it.

We also went to Jahn's in Brooklyn for ice cream sundaes.

Samantha

My Grandma was always talking about the "kitchen sink" at Jahn's- It's a legend in the house :)

As for Rainbow Brite...my dear college roomie gifted my that nickname due to my frequently changing hair color...blond, brown, BRIGHT red, black, blond and black in layers...shall I go on??? I even had the Cyndi Lauper one-sided mullet at one point :rotfl:

I loved Duran Duran. They played in concert here a couple of years ago. I really wanted to go, but decided no one wanted to see an 8 1/2 month pregnant lady dancing to "Girls on Film." And with my luck, I would have gone in labor - although that could of been pretty cool.

:rotfl: Duran Duran. My girlfriend and I used to pretend that we were dating them. We would write notes during study hall describing the exciting places we went. Wow, that was pretty embarassing to admit.

Did you see them last weekend on the Concert for Diana and yesterday on the Live Earth broadcast? They were actually pretty could and even my DH commented on how they didn't look half bad for their age

can't remember that one, but noticed your tag!:thumbsup2

I had Shawn Cassidy all over my room!:thumbsup2

My kids found an 8 track player at my moms house last week--unfortunately no 8 tracks left to play in it, but they found that AND the rotary dial phone amusing!

Do you remember the song, Telephone Man? Went something like..hey baby, I'm the telephone man, tell me where you want it and I'll put it where I can...

In seventh grade my best friend Missy and I would hide in my basement writing up fake marriage license for us and the guys from Air Supply. I knew how to pick them even back then!

I remember Captain Noah:goodvibes And after reading the last couple of days post I can't get these songs out of my head.
Send your pictures to dear old Captain Noah

Anyone else remember The New Zoo Review with Henrietta Hippo, Charlie the owl, Freddie the Frog, Dough and Emmie Joe

Anyone remember the tv show Candy Apple News Factory

The movies Escape from Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain with Tony and Tia

The Tv show Fame, not the movie. I used to pretend I went to that school but couldn't decide If I wanted to play an instrument, sing or dance, needless to say I am not very talented in the arts.:rotfl:

Does anyone remember the Great Space Coaster show? The theme song is what sticks out in my mind more than anything.

Memories.....

The dancing hotdog before the drive-in movies started
Sitting on wax paper to speed down the hot metal slide

Playing dizzy bones in the front yard
Going for rides in the station wagon on Sundays
Little Lulu and Richies Rich comic books
Watching the Mickeymouse club on TV
Using a popsicle stick tied on your bike spoke to sound like a motor
Making your own bike ramp
Step on a crack break your Mother's back

Come on board, step inside
Going on a magic ride.
Soarin' towards the other side,
Where only rainbows hide.

LOL, I can't believe I remembered that! :lmao:

How could we all forget the Osmonds. I always pretended I was Marie but I wanted to marry Donnie :scared1: now that I think about it that's not so weird, right?

I just remembered...

...my brother and I loved to watch the Hall of Justice cartoons (at least that's what I think it was) with Wonder Woman, Capt America, etc

But I loved the Wonder Twins.

Wonder Twin powers, activate!

Form of a river!

Shape of a mountain!

Samantha

Actually, I believe it was the Super Friends. There's a whole cult following that cartoon. Remember their names?
Zane and Jayna! :rotfl:

...can't comment on too many TV shows cause we got 2 channels when the wind was blowin' the right way....

(CBS and NBC)

Ok, who had a rainbow shirt...the one with the 3/4 length sleeves, and the rainbow went up one sleeve, across your chest, and down the other sleeve?

Actually, who was into rainbow everything?? I was really into that phase...rainbow hair ribbons, rainbow shoelaces, rainbow posters, etc. etc. This phase was 7th grade for me....

Also, anyone really into wearing buttons(pins) all over their jackets? I had so many....we used to buy them at Spencers at the mall. They had sayings on them like "I'm not as think as you drunk I am" and stuff like that....I was like 15 and my mom let me wear those things?? :confused3

Oh yeah! One in traditional rainbow colors and one in really fugly 80's gold/orange brown. Had the bedsheets too- the ones with the rainbows on the sides and the pillows made the arches.
