I can't believe they got rid of the club and American Express for this Bank One Card.I think it's just another way that disney try's to see how far they can charge us and make money on both sides.Sometimes i think they are trying to push us away. What do you think about what im saying?
tiggerguy2000 ºoº    :( :( :( :(

I think most people will agree with you. I also think until we give Disney a chance to roll out the special offers that you can access online or that will be included with your statement, that it's too early to tell.

Well Tiggerguy2000 judging by your signature you are the one's that Disney is aiming for. Twelve members of your family and your family. There's $20,000 for one vacation.:D Use the card! You'll get $200.00 in Disney dollars.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Have a nice day. Rich

In the past, I enrolled in the Disney Club just to get the discount on the annual passes. The discount is $15 per pass. For my family of 5 that is a savings of $75 minus the $30 to join DC equals a savings of only $45.
I think I will easily come out ahead as I only buy passes every other year. I'm sure we normally charge a lot more than $4,500 over the course of two years! ;)

In addition to the discounts, we also got the Disney Magazine free with membership into Disney Club. Now I have to pay for a subscription.

In response to the magazine comment, I subscribed through a site called magazinevalues.com--1 year is $4.97. The rest is paid for by advertisers who supposedly send you one (junk) e-mail a week. The site got good reviews by others who used it and I say what's one more junk e-mail?

WDWDreaming: The Disney Magazine is 9.95 for a two year subscription, for a penny less, you have to accept more junk e-mail to delete!

I know about the two-year subscription, but since I had never dealt with the company before I decided to stick with one year to start. I will probably renew for two when the time comes. I got my first issue right on time and considering all the other junk e-mails I get, I have no idea which ones are even due to the subscription. Quite a deal, considering that the other sites I checked out usually cost about twice as much!

I agree tiggerguy2000 .. especially since the Disney Visa isn't available to Canadians... :(

Goes to show just how much Disney has lost in recent years. Oh I am not talking about stocks, I mean quality and value.

With AMEX being the best rewards card around, why couldn't they come up with a Disney AMEX offering @$$ kicking rewards, not capped? They dumped AMEX and still their visa won't take over in the minds of conscientious consumers. They already had an alliance with AMEX!!

They got rid of the DC. But in all honesty, it only gave you benefits if you shopped at DS often or on your AP tickets. Being as gimmicky as Disney can be, I would not be surprised if it is just another marketing strategy to build up anxiety and have people sign on en-masse at some point.

Disney used to be the top family park but it is not the only theme park anymore, and others offer truly fun places to visit too. I'd say that if its service continues to deteriorate, we'll also see why they have to continue to close the parks early, freeze jobs and lay workers off...

Sometimes you wonder who the heck is making their decisions.

I'm all for bringing it back, I'd rather pay to save!
