Brighter, Bluer Christmas lights at MK??

Last night we went to the MK. The Christmas lights are up! My husband and I both noticed that the lights seemed brighter and there were more blues in the lights draped over Main St, USA. Is it just mine and my husband's imagination, or did the bulbs change and are they using more blue lights?

They are prolly using LED lights now since they supposedly last longer and use less electricity. They also have a blueish tint to them and are also much brighter than incandescent lights. LEDs are hard to get used to...much like using CFL lights @ home. They look odd.

I'm pretty sure they are using more LEDs in their displays. Most white LEDs give off a blue cast where the old incandescent gave more of a orange color.

Also he maybe more sensitive to that part of the color spectrum.

Were you there last year? I know they were super bright as well because as the PP mentioned Disney is getting more and more into LEDs. Last year on HGTV's Disney Christmas show they talked specifically about how they are integrating more and more LED lights.

I agree ...They are LED lights.We switched to them last year and it took all season to get used to them.They look bright and blue

The CM's on the Yultide tour have told us that the lights/decorations are replaced every 5-7 years. Now who besides me would loved to go garbage picking when that happens???

Oh goody! I LOVE blue lights for Christmas and can't wait to see a bluer Main Street in December!
