Brief report from the park today. I'm very tired so this is likely to be short (as promised ;-)). Accordingly, please forgive en-knee and ahl tie=pose

We arrived at the gates early and bumped into twin sisters we know through the park. They were celebrating their birthday so someone in our group spoke to a CM he knew and was able to help the girls open the park today... together with about another dozen or so of us. This was the second time I've been able to participate in a park opening and it's still fun.

First in the park for a few seconds until a young lady skip-ran past me. I don't like runners and to me skipping is running but trying to look cute while doing it. I later beat her and her group to PP. However, she seemed OK so I offered her the first place spot... but then about three guys in her entourage hopped the line borders in the PP queue and I wasn't prepared to let five or six people go ahead of me. Especially after jumping like that. There are reasons for rules about not climbing over park barriers. I spoke with her just after PP, however, and she seemed very nice. I explained that I would have let her go first but not a whole group of folks. Anyway, after that most rides in FL were walk-ons. Alice was closed after we rode PP and Mr. Toad so we took a flight with Dumbo....after which Alice was open so we took a quick spin.

A few more pics.

Did OK on Buzz today. I would have broke 2M but I lost count of my score and stopped shooting because I'd thought I'd already gone over. This is always supremely frustrating. So close yet so far ;-). Scoring worked almost perfectly in the morning. However, in the afternoon I had four scores that were closer to 2M than they were to 1M. Not a single one of them came through, which is another source of frustration ;-).

One last interesting pic: I saw a CM walking this horse solo up Main Street. I presumed she it was some sort of training exercise.

Nearly always, I visit the park on Sundays. Next weekend, however, I'll be there on Saturday because the CHOC Walk will be the following day and that always means a 10:00 park open, which, for me, is just before lunch. Far too late. Moreover, DL will open at 8:00 on Saturday with no EMHs, which has always been the reason I've avoided DL on Saturdays. If anyone from the board is there and sees me, by all means feel free to come and say hello.

Happy (almost) Monday!

Thanks for your reports and pictures I always enjoy them!

Couldn't agree more about the line jumpers, I'm very nice... to a point, just don't abuse it.

Seems like it's well past time for them to upgrade the camera in Buzz!

I forgot the horse's name, but I did ask the CMs about him (I also saw them walking one without the trolley). They're new and in training. Right now, they're getting used to walking through the crowds and going up and down the route.
